WiiWare Save Block Sizes and More
Posted By: Brian Leahy - Monday, May 12, 2008 2:22 PM

Our friends at GoNintendo have listed the amount of blocks you will need for each WiiWare game that was released today.

The Wii uses SD cards for downloadable content like Virtual Console (and now WiiWare) games and space could easily become an issue if the platform takes off.

They also detailed the amount of players that can participate and if the game utilizes the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

I'm confused...

"Final Fantasy" says that it's a "Pay to Play". Does that mean there's a monthly charge on that?

I could see someone filling up their wii with that stuff fast.

Anyone know if it's possible for Nintendo to come out with a patch for the Wii that will allow the reading of 4GB or 8GB SD cards? Or is that strictly a hardware issue that can't be patched? I thought that was pretty dumb of them to now allow this capability, especially when the 4GB model was fairly common when the Wii was released.

Thanks!!

So the DLC for the FF game would cost cashmonies, you say? Pooh.

But hey, here's the real question. How big in MB are these games? My wireless net is wonk and it takes a long time just to download the regular cruds.

i am good because i dont really bother with DLC and i have SD cards anyway. but really...i would probably buy some VC games if i knew i wouldnt run out of room easily.
I know a few things on WiiWare that i wanna get this summer though...

they gotta get on some sort of external memory thing...the need to watch filling up memory is ridiculous....

You get me Nintendo? =D....please?

They should just enable Flash drive support. Then I should use my 750gig external hard drive that uses USB. :P
