If you've got an iPhone or iPad, chances are you're looking for a cool accessory to add to it. Matt Mira and Baratunde Thurston round up the gadgets from Brookstone, like the silicone keyboard, iConvert Scanner, Pocket Projector and more to see how well they work.

BlueTooth Silicone Keyboard

  • This is a wireless keyboard for the iPad that can be conveniently rolled up.
  • Our first impression is that it doesn't look like a useable keyboard, which isn't too far off.
  • It took a lot of getting used to and for the first 20 minutes, we were hitting a lot of unnecessary keys.
  • We did finally settle in to the fact that we were typing on a floppy piece of silicon.
  • The rechargeable battery is nice.

iConvert Scanner

  • This is a document scanner for your iPad.
  • It works exactly as advertising and is very simple to set up.
  • All you have to do is download the free iConvert Scanner app and you're good to go.
  • This scans at 300 dpi and has an adjustable feeder so you can scan 4x6 photos, too.

  • There's a lot of practical application for a device like this and this is pretty cheap for a document scanner.

Aluminum Tablet Pen

  • This is a stylus for your iPad.
  • We like the thin design, which is really the only good thing we can say about it.
  • It feels really cheap.
  • It's on the lower end as far as price but we don't think that's a good excuse for how cheap it felt.

  • There are a lot of superior iPad styluses out there.

Pocket Projector

  • This is a case for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with a built-in projector.
  • The picture quality really surprised me.
  • The video can get pretty shaky so you'll have to put the projector on a level surface.
  • The native resolution is 640x360 and projects up to a 50" image.
  • The lamp inside is only 15 lumens so it's not that bright but for an iPhone case, it's not bad at all.
  • There's a rechargeable battery in the case so you can also charge your iPhone while the projector is not in use.

Price

  • $230

  • It's the coolest gadget of the bunch and can also be pretty useful if you want a portable projector.
