Steve Johnson's Max Payne shirt looks so dope. If you guys havn't played it then you should pick up a copy, because the story campaign is one of the best I have ever played. Diablo looks pretty cool, but I'm not a PC gamer. Poor me=(

I agree with Leah on a lot of this. When you think about it, you only really need to make 1 of each character with the skill system they have set up for D3. In D2, if I wanted a FrozenOrb Sorc, I would have to spec for exactly that and It would have to be a pure cold Sorc in order to be the most powerful as possible. If, say a few months later, I wanted to try a Fire Sorc, I would have to start a new char and spec it to be only Fire. In D3, if I ever decide to change up my spells 3 months from now, I just change them and don't even need to change gear really.
That's where another problem comes in. The damage on everything is heavily weapon DPS based. Meaning that 99% of the time, I am finding that using a 1-handed Club or Spear makes my Wizard more powerful than using an actual wand. I miss the +skills mods on weapons from D2. I am hoping that Blizzard adds in a patch that gives mods that let you combine 2 runes in a spell. That would give me more of an incentive to use a wand (the weapon that is character specific).

So my only thing with how easy normal mode is, is that without it, Hardcore mode would be too difficult.

Steve Johnson is Awesome! You know it!

Once you defeat the game you have access to Nightmare difficulty. If you beat Diablo in Nightmare then you have access to Hell Mode (assuming you are level 50+). If you beat Hell mode and you are level 60 you have access to Nightmare level.
Likewise, there is normal and hardcore plays. In Normal, if you die then you will simply lose durability and it takes money to repair. In Hardcore mode, if you die... that is it. You have no access to your character and the gear ON your character. One life and that is it... so becareful.
Leah you are Level 52, which means you are only at nightmare ... maybe just entering hell. TRUST ME, 4 players on HELL is very tough. However, I found hell on easier with less people, as what was mentioned. I am a Demon Hunter and playing with a group of another Demon Hunter, a Barbarian (using a shield to tank and having high vitality). and a Monk (gear for extra healing) and we raced thru lNormal and Nightmare. However, when we hit hell mode - as a group - we fought a few random encounters that got us talking like a RAID boss in WOW or Rift. There was this boss, early on that would have guards which are all linked together. Each guard would be protected by an invulnerability shield. The guards can not be killed, harmed, or CC (Crowd control) until the main boss (who has tons of HP) was killed. So you had to somehow kill the boss as these guards are constantly attacking you. Combine that with the boss was a skeleton that would attack (randomly) our characters, our barbarian would have a taunt - but it only lasts a few seconds. Then after a hit or two the boss AND GUARDS would create puddles of acid that hurt players, but not themselves. Combine all that with the boss creating purple laser balls that rotate clockwise that can almost kill most characters with little resistances and they would also create walls. These walls would block our range attacks (from the demon hunters) and also block our melee from retreating (from the acid puddles and the purple laser beams).
With a group of 4... it was nearly impossible. We had to, at one point, shop for new gear to help with our resistances. However, I encountered a similar boss solo and aced it without much difficulty. Then you hit INFERNO... and... well... good luck if you think it is easy.
My problem, is you have to wait a LONG time before the game becomes difficult and you need to repeat several levels several times before you get there. It can get a bit boring until then.

I respect both of your perspective not on just D3 but in general, keep up the good work.
About the difficulty: You might notice there is no "Easy." But there are still 4 difficulty levels.
Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno. Blizzard just changed Easy to Normal. So Normal is easy because it is actually set on Easy.
Kind of like how Starbucks calls its Small, Tall. You are still going to get through it fast.

Since you have to be online to play D3 at all, you might as well play with other people.
