Activision release their first trailer for the upcoming, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The future is looking pretty black.

COD could throw out a game that looks like Qubert and say its the newest release of their game and all kinds of people would say it's awesome and go out and buy it. Baffling...
You cannot compare this to Battlefield 3 graphics. Not to mention the shooting/aim in COD is at a child's level. Simply embarrassing compared to Battlefield 3

Is it really worth another $60? A new title is released every 9 months. This could easily be a $30 DLC if you ask me, but nah, the video game industry is all about the greed.

can somebody please explain how a sequel to a vietnam/cold war game can take place in 2025 and still actually be considered a sequel?? im a fan of COD but this really disappoints me. its almost as if they heard everybody's complaints about the franchise and said "hey lets do all of that"

You people are idiots. This is the first trailer for the game. Of course the graphics suck in it, just like they do for everything else. Yes, this game is going to suck. They are using the whole played out cliche of "We depend too much on technology." Black Ops was great because it has some realistic qualities to it. Now they are going the other direction and making a fantasy future sci-fi game. Looks like I will not be getting this one, being as I don't care for zombies. I'll just stick with Battlefield. Dice seems to know what a FPS should be.

Graphics are decent (oh look so many chumps complaining on that basis alone).
Horses, hm. Couldn't have anything to do with "What happens, when the enemy steals the keys," could it? Non-reliance on technology most likely being the moral/theme and all that.
And just keep whining about how it incorporates elements from X and Y. News flash my friends, every game incorporates influences from other games. To say or believe otherwise is foolish.
Also, the only (noticeable) similarity between this and Future Soldier is that it's a war game in the near future. Nearly everything else is different.
The only thing I can see as being detrimental is if Treyarch plays it safe and this is just another entry with minor differences. Here's hoping they make some series altering decisions.

THe idea is really cool, and it can be seen as taking a subtle jab at the Modern Warfare games. "Technology got stronger, but we got weaker." All that modern technology that we worshiped for 3 whole Call of Duty games suddenly thrown against us, and we have to fall back onto good old fashioned human resourcefulness. Its the de-emphasis of the synthetic warfare we saw in MW3 and getting back to the real nitty gritty (I hope). Humanity versus its own creations.
That being said, the graphics suck ass, and the fact that the concept is cool does not change the fact that it's a Treyarch game.....goddammit...
