Firefall "Intro Cinematic" Trailer

I've been in the Beta for a while now.
It's a rather unique game, and a blast to play.
I'll have to say that this intro is only part of the story leading up to what is going on in the game itself, and actually has nothing (at least at this time) to do with the actual gameplay.

In the game you are an Accord soldier (several classes available, with countless upgrades available too).
Basically the crash causes, for lack of a better description, rip in time/space called the "Melding", and through this we end up not only odd denizens from other worlds to battle it out with, but some aliens called the "Chosen" as well. Now the big thing about this is that the crash site ends up being the ONLY place left on Earth NOT covered by the Melding. So your new home is now Fortaleza and it's surrounding areas.

The game is unique in that in the PvE environment, it's a scramble to acquire daily resources through a mining process called "Thumping". You'll be collecting resources to not only help civilization, but to buy and fabricate many of your available upgrades.
The unique part is that in the daily quests you'll undertake PLUS fighting off patrols and incursions of the Chosen, you'll gradually get back parts of the environment that's been overrun by the Melding. So, not just through exploring, but through individual actions and whole team and group and even entire community actions, you'll be reclaiming our world. Every person can make a difference.
