I've seen the swedish and the american version, and its safe to say that the american version is leagues better than the swedish film. Not to say the swedish version isn't good, its just, the american version is in a separate category all on its own. TGWTDT seems to have gotten far more preferential treatment in the US than the Swedish version, which may be a factor, that and David Fincher just did an amazing job, as well as Trent Reznors perfect soundtrack, I guess with all of these factors its not really even fair to compare the swedish version to the masterpiece that is the american version.

So Battle Royale was released on DVD to counter Hunger Games? Good move...

Been waiting for Battle Royale to be released in the US for years. Hands down the best single book I've ever read.

    "I said no whispering!" THOK
If you've watched the Swedish version of GWTDT you can skip this one. The ending of this movie drags on for 30 minutes too long. It's good, I'm not taking anything away from their performances, but the Swedish version is better.
