I dont know what the bloody hell you people are talking about. Penn is very very smart and a very laid back guy. I have had the honor and privilege of being in his company on several occasions and am proud to call Penn Jillette a friend. American Idol doesn't manipulate people? Are you serious? Look at the track record of people who have won that show. Very few go on to have successful music careers. Penn voiced his view, dont like it? Well you dont have to but dont try and bash the man.

Clay has been on American Idol. Penn has been on Dancing with the Stars. So how does Penn get to put Clay down as being on Reality TV?

So sorry that nobody from Celebrity App stayed friends with Penn. But I can see why they didn't.
He's wrong about the others not staying friends though. Dee and Clay recorded together recently.

I'm getting the feeling Penn has been or is going to be eliminated since he's setting everyone up
for it. He feels people on a show like Idol are professional manipulators. Poor Penn, I think he got
beat, guess what its not the worse thing in the world that there are others a little smarter and a little
    bit better strategists.

He's making himself look small by putting everyone else down. He should take his ego down a few
    notches. What a blowhard.

kitwild, I couldn't have said it better myself. Penn loves to hear himself talk, and he seriously thinks he's smarter and better than anyone else. And he makes it sound like Clay, having been on American Idol, is soooo skilled an manipulating people. How ridiculous. As if American Idol could do that. And I can't image Clay trying to manipulate anyone. Penn is just sore because Clay did better at this game than he did. I do find Penn amusing to listen to, though. Thank you, Clay, for at least trying.

Clay is SO precious! Imagine him taking on the fruitless task of teaching Penn not to be condescending. Did Clay not read Penn's book, "God, No!" I did! I would never attempt to get through to Penn on any subject. This is a man who lives in an insane world of his own creation. I must admit, however, there were segments of Penn's book that made me literally laugh out loud [very loud!], even though I was reading it while waiting to board my plane at the airport. Made the other passengers stare at me as though I were as crazy as Penn!

Anyway, I'm proud of Clay. He wants to make the world a better place, and thus he confronted Penn on his behavior. Who could ask for more?
