Think of this Multiplayer more as Horde Mode in Gears of War 3 or PvE (in MMO terms). DO NOT THINK THIS IS COD of Battlefield 3 PvP. Even if you are not good... hopefully, a few peeps on your team can help you out. If you are very good... you will get frustrated by your friends
I really like the multiplayer but the only thing I think they should change is the ready up system the got on there. It's kind of annoying when everyone is ready to play except one person who is taking all day to fix their stuff. I think we should have a time limit to get our character ready and if everyone has the ready button pressed then the countdown should skip down to the final 3 seconds to start the game.
Played it some in the demo just to see and I wasn't feeling it at all. I'll just stick it out 100% in single player and get everything I need to stop the Reapers by myself.
I was just playing the multiplayer demo and it was me and a bunch of kids probably under the age of 10 judging by there voices. They wanted to kick me so they could put some other guy on the team but the match started so they decided to die on purpose so they could kick me when they restarted. I made it to wave 10 single-handedly before I died. I love little kids, so stupid.
I love the MP. It plays less like Gears of War and more like a fast-paced PvP. :)
I thought the mp wasn't going to be good in ME3 but Bioware proved me wrong
So the multiplayer in this game consists of what the demo offered? It's horde mode and only horde mode? No co-op missions or anything like that?
Let me preface this statement with this...I'm a huge ME fan. I am a diehard single player gamer, and in general I find that multiplayer can't hold my attention for more then a week, especially shooters because after about a week the learning curve of the game requires that you sink hour after hour into playing into it just to keep up with the twelve year olds who have enough free time to do that. But I love this MP! The pre-existing combat system is perfect for four player co-op, and I can't wait to see the full version on March 6th (But frankly I probably won't touch it to the 7th or 8th). My only gripe is that I would like to see more scenarios where the players are forced to work together, maybe in the full version this is the case, but from what I know now this is the only problem and frankly it just my opinion. One last thing... instead of nickel and dimming the consumer with day one single player DLC, wouldn't it have made more sense to do it in multiplayer by offering a pack that unlocks two or three multiplayer characters such as a geth, one or two of the players from the single player campaign, or even the prothean charactered from the SP day one DLC? It just seems like that would've caused considerably less uproar and potential boycotting(which people have been threatening, at least in forums, whether or not they followthrough with that threat is something completely different), and still pad EA's and BIoware's bottom line.
Very excited about the Galaxy at War, it will make if feel like a real war. I'm home.
Say what you will about the fact that multiplayer is in this game- after having played the demo quite a bit, I have to say that it's really fun. The fact that it ties in with the single player is brilliant.
