I am so glad you guys gave props to Amped 2! I remember back in the day it got lukewarm reviews from both G4 and gameinformer (my two main sources for industry news at the time), while I was having an amazing time with it, spending months -- and eventually years -- trying to conquer all of the game's mountains. Some of its greatest features, like the conceptually simple and intuitive yet tough to master control scheme, the abundance of events and map challenges, the AMAZING visuals which gave each mountain a distinct atmosphere and feel, and its satisfying, deliberate style of gameplay were ignored in these reviews, and instead they described the game's slow pace and controls as a bad thing, allowing some technical issues to obscure their experience of the whole game and painting it as a mediocre experience. Again, thanks for acknowledging some of the great achievements and innovations of this game and giving it some well-earned respect and recognition.
