Fantastic Episode. Funny and insightful from start to finiSH. [tripped the profanity filter] IT's like it was recorded specifically for me. Schafer and Jaffe are gods. Stephen is always good for a laugh and some stupidity. And the good Morgan showed up. (Sometimes on the other side of the table she seems to be a Deborah Downer.)I've also been very vocal about getting the Marvel universe in Kingdom Hearts, but I'll one-up Jaffe and say it must have The Muppets too. Disney owns the right now. It would be criminal to not do it. In fact, that could be Schafer and Jaffe's collaboration. The charm of the Muppets + the brutality of the X-Men would seem to be a perfect fit. Plus, no one else is any rush to get a proper KH3 out.If not that, I picture them doing something along the lines of Brutal Legend. A harsh but quirky world of rock and roll, explosions, and jokes about the male anatomy. Unlike Morgan, I was not a big fan of the RTS elements in Brutal Legend (and I know a lot of other people share that opinion). A collaborative sequel with more of a hack and slash feel and a little Twisted Metal thrown in would be insane.
I agree and disagree at the same time with Tim on the issue of figuring out the puzzle. I think that games should not include the pop ups of telling you where to go and what to do next to move to the next stage of a game. However, I have been in situations where you do get stuck and cannot figure it out before getting annoyed. In situations like that, I think it would be nice if you could go to the settings or menu to and click on a help button that will guide you to the solution.
I hope we have some good games coming out this year. We were kind of spoiled last year with some fantastic games (Batman being my favorite). So far I'm only looking forward to Mass Effect 3; and that's going to come out within the next few weeks.I just can't figure out why they have Jaffe on here for a game that nobody is looking forward to. Twisted Metal is just Mario Kart for less developed minds. I have no interest in this guy as a developer or even a person. His games are based on the idea of banking on the mass violence appeal for games, and that's about it. It used to work, last generation, but I think most gamers have moved on to the games that display more ingenuity and imagination.I hope to see the more traditional panel discussions on Feedback, rather than these developers who act like rockstars and pump out some pretty lame games. (I'm not talking about Tim Schafer. Schafer rocks and is worthy of attention)
If the video isn't working for you...try the HD version.
best part is them trying to imitate animal crossing talk. lol
I think that guests can be great, but I hope they don't start letting just anybody who puts a game on just for a plug. Occasionally (and for a big game like Mass Effect or Skyrim) would be phenomenal. But if you start doing it for B-grade games too, this is going to get old fast. Feedback is at its best when it's with the regulars. Blair does a great job, as does Morgan. Jessica is great, and you can never go wrong when you have Steven Johnson on the panel.
Nice shoes, Morgan. Can I buy you a coffee? <3
Yeah, vid won't play
Epic Fail. The video wont play for me.
Great show, David Jaffe was a (insert most popular profanity) riot! Big fan of Twisted Metal, as a kid it inspired me to smash my hot wheels together and destroy them in the most extravagant ways. Thinking of it now though, I probably should not have been playing Twisted Metal at that age, but what the hell, it was (insert probably the same profanity) awesome. Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy Vll - those were the reasons to own a Playstation. I wish TM did a little better than a 3 on the G4 review.
video not working, please fix
I like your shoes Morgan. Can I buy you a Coke Zero?
Crappy host and her crappy nose job are crappy. Why do people think "pretty" girls are valuable to take shop with game devs?
I can't get it to play.
Morgan did a great job hosting this week's episode of Feedback.
whats up with G4 interviewing games that they gave a low score???
that was a pretty good episode. I would have like more Nikole Zivalich though, but still a good episode.
I never watch Feed Back but you know what? I am going to watch this one right now :) Jaffe and Schafer at the same time is epic "like Swarchenegger and stallone in th same movie"
I feel like Feedback is straying too far from the working formula. Yes having guest stars on is great. Tim and David had a great 30 seconds there with the Cerrano bit. However it is again awkward to have this Feedback go up, and with David Jaffe sitting there. Not really talking much about Twisted Metal, while there is a war going on in the review camp. His game gets a 3/5 and there is no back and forth between anybody about it. If this was taped a month ago, I don't think it was wise to can it until this week. As well it seems like one of the big losses is a result of taping early. Feedback used to feature news and discussions about what's happening in games right now. We just had a big demo drop,(Mass Effect 3) and a huge announcement with Assassin's Creed 3. And lets have a little discussion over Twisted Metal. Or maybe the launch of the PS Vita?Thank you Morgan for the free "how to talk to women advice". You look beautiful in everything you wear, and I would love to buy a plane ticket. Fly cross country, just to buy you a drink and have a meaningful conversation over dinner. And I promise not to talk at all about video games.
