Your big reveal at the end of the show is what sold Mass Effect 3 for me, Jessica.

And I mean this in the least creepiest way when I say; I look forward to 'Romancing' your character.

Just because I think you are cool and down to earth, in the way you present yourself as a person and find enjoyment in the job you do.

May this be the first cameo in a long career of future cameo's!

< Bought FFXIII-2 strat guide, final fantasy games are the only games I buy strat guides for these days.

Anyways, the "live trigger" conversation choices have no impact on anything... except one thing. The number of 'live trigger' conversations you complete, rather than skip or miss, will impact the reward you get in the 'live trigger' reward treasures. Miss/skip too many, you get default rewards... like potions. Complete X amount and you get special items, like accessories. So, Mass Effect this system isn't, but it does pay to stick with the events and at least randomly answer them to ensure best rewards. Its the difference between yet another potion and something useful.

    Hope this was helpful.

    Great show this week !
    Just one thing: I seriously can't stop obsessing over Blair's tangled headphone wire. It's.. so... messy - must... un-tangle...meh! >_<</safety_wrapper&g t;

Let me tell you about Final Fantasy 13. This is the worst game I have ever, EVER played. The characters are unlikeable, the story is unfollowable, the leveling system is irritating, the upgrading system is overly taxing, the battle system is ABOMINABLE! and the world is patently unbelievable. Worst of all the ATB thing requires all the attention and focus of a real time combat scenario, or a button masher, but offers none of the enjoyment or pay off.

The people who wrote it and who ever it was who gave the go-ahead for it's release should do the right thing by committing Seppuku on stage at E3. Yes. I know what that is. And if they did, my only regret would be not getting to watch.

You know what started this emo trash angst ridden androgynous character, followable story nonsense? Final Fantasy 8. A game that was so poorly received that they went in a completely different direction in 9, one of the best games of the series, and nobody wanted it because they had so alienated their fan base. So what do they do? Just go strait back to the style that alienated everyone.

If Squarenix wants to make a completely different game experience, then let them just make an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GAME! It is obvious that this is not what fans want, because they keep rererereleasing their older games with a slight polish on psn, xbl, mobile phones, etc. Give fans what they want. If you want to go in a different direction, call it something else and let the poor butchered series rest in peace.

This is why some people hate nintendo. Because they ignore their fan base and focus only on what will drag in business, while occasionally throwing some nostalgia at the customers to pull them in. Yes. I hate Final Fantasy 13. And god knows it deserves to be.

I was thinking the same thing about Blair's headphone cord, but now I see him reading this with an evil chuckle as he replaces it with a day-glow green (perhaps even LED backlit) one, forming the thing back up in an even more intricate headphone cord bonsai for next week.

Thank you for answering my question on X-Play about game documentaries. I forgot all about the commentary option on Portal 2, and will check that out. I wanted to say i really appreciate all the hard work you guys do to bring us information about games, and i urge anyone who is interested in games or game design to watch feedback. There is a wealth of knowledge on this podcast that is presented in a candid and mature manor. I hope to one day be sitting in that studio with you, talking about one of my games. Thank you again.

Hello. I've already advised Nintendo of a great name for their new console a few months back. Since Nintendo adheres to the common CASUAL gamer, but people like us are considered HARDCORE,
then the perfect name for this system should be......drum roll please........

    Wii SCREAM

Now tell me this does not make sense. Think about it!!!!!!!

    Feedback is friggin awesome.

I do find it really weird that Microsoft didn't opt for an exclusive character or characters for SFxT. It would be nice to hear the reasoning behind it because it quite frankly doesn't seem fair for 360 owners. And this is coming from someone who doesn't own a 360.

Anyway, congrats to Jessica for her role in ME3 and a happy belated birthday to (Princess) Leah :3

PS, nice to see Rob on the show. It should be interesting to have his take in future episodes, especially with his connection to indie games.

I think if Street Fighter X Tekken was on a Nintendo console a character or two would be there. I could never get into Final Fantasy. Again congrats to Jessica on being in Mass Effect 3. She is my number 1 choice for romance problems. Hope it is mentioned next week.

Well Jessica is officially a lesbian, since my default character in Mass Effect is a female. And since i will never have sex with her in real life, this is the closest i and me others will ever get.

    - Sony has been trying to incorporate the PSP (now Vita) into this whole game and entertainment anytime adventure but still hasn't got it right. I don't see how Nintendo would fare any better with not as powerful of technology.
-DLC can change things with exclusivity and revised edition of games in the future. Look at all the 5 Street Fighter IV games.
    - FF13-2 is still a good/great game. It's pretty much the trend now. Gamers these day look at the MMORPG approach where you have basically have an arrow guiding you the whole time with text on screen to tell you what quest you are doing and where to go.
    - Awesome, thanks for picking my question.
    - Jessica, the wait must have been torture to keep it in the whole time for ME3
