Posted: January 11, 2012
Kevin Pereira gets his hands on the HP Envy 14 Spectre Ultrabook. At $1400, it's the latest in HP's line of portable computers that's made essentially of glass from front to back, is only 20 millimeters thick, weighs in at a svelte 4lbs, and gets its sound from Dr. Dre. Kevin also looks at a new iHome dock for your iPad.

it's rather expensive, if we think that Intel's concept of ultrabook was supposed to deliver products under $1.000.

I love glass, on my portable devices. I refuse to cover my iPhone because I just love the way glass feels compared to plastic or metal. I plan to make that HP ultra book mine this spring, but I'll have to be extra gentle with her.
