the most emotional point in 2011 for me was seeing ezio die at the end of AC Embers. The ending is the only thing I've cried to in gaming all year. R.I.P. Ezio Auditore da Firenze

The scene shown in Skyward Sword goes on much longer, and is a great scene all the way through. Come on, you gave Starwars like 5 minutes and you couldn't spare more than 30 seconds for Zelda? Give me a break!

I'm so glad that Dom's moment made it on the list... This was the first time I'd seen it since actually playing through the campaign. I hadn't ever really been as emotionally into a cutscene.

Batman's ending was absolutely perfect. Having Joker be responsible for his own death, that's the only way it would have happened, and Batman giving Joker a last laugh, it really drives home the (albeit dysfunctional) relationship those two have. They're two sides of the same coin, and while they are of course bitter enemies, in a way, they're probably closer to each other than to anyone else.

Also glad to see they included the DCUO cinematic in here. The game itself may be mediocre, but the movie is one of the best I've ever seen. They could easily have made this into an actual movie. In fact, I'd love to see them make this into a full length DC video.

I'd say for me at least, this was the best year for gaming. Lots of really great games (so many that I'm still not finished with most of them). Personally I hope 2012 is a slow year just so I can finish them all. For now, Mass Effect 3 is the only one I know of that I'm waiting for, but I'm sure that will change.

I still don't understand the Dead Island trailer. It didn't really appeal to me the first time I saw it and I didn't see what all the hype was about. I have played it now and its a great game but the trailer really has no connection the actual game other than the zombies in a tropical resort.

for Skyward Sword, they should have added the part where Link plays the song of the hero. that part was pretty amazing.

The Star Wars scene is cool but it did not make sense how the master Jedi gets defeat by that Sith apprentice.

trailers aren't really moments....and the best moment in Skyward Sword is ejecting the disc because it's a linear, gimmicky, pale imitation of a true Zelda game ( story is epic, though ). I'd also go with Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax, Tank Mayhem & the tank skydiving sequence in Saints Row The Third; finding Altair's skeleton in Assassin's Creed Revelations; experiencing the 3D effect in Super Mario 3D Land ( not to mention finally getting a worthwhile 3DS game ); the 10 GBA games for 3DS ambassadors; Nintendo FINALLY announcing Xenoblade for the US; finally getting another traditional Kirby on a console; getting to play Frank West again in Off The Record; Marvel Vs Capcom 3....until Ultimate, which is awesome but a slap in the face for those of us who bought the collector's edition of the 1st version; all of Bastion; and Portal co-op.

Gears was definitely the Best/Worst moment for me. I remember feeling exactly how Marcus must have felt, you knew it was coming and there was nothing you could do about it. My girlfriend was actually in tears, as Dom had become sort of our favorite (she played along with me since Gears 2 and really enjoyed the story). I read this comment on some other site but I thought it was a good one "Dom really died the day he lost Maria in the Hollow."
