I don't think you will be able to play as a wookie because they can't speak basic. The big thing with this is the fully voiced story and if you had to read dialogue for your main character the entire time it would suck.
Greatest .... Feedback .... Ever.
I'll heal for you in Star Wars, where do I sign up? :3
SWTOR needs to learn from Rift and the changes made recently in WoW.The game itself, taking away the speech, is old. The story and quest lines are no real different than what has been recently done in WoW, and, honestly, could be integrated into a single player game and sold for a finite price, instead of being sold monthly. Most of the UI is 5 years old. The progression questing outside the newbie zone is typical MMO. Run here, do this, run here, do this. The lack of options in the classes is disappointing and the talent system is old and NOT FUN. Look at Rift. This is a game that has been trying to break the mold for some time now. BioWare ignored it. It's easy to tell, considering some of the minor things missing in the game, like Portals vs. Flight Paths (who wants to sit on a friggin flight path?!) and not having the quest items in the quest tracker. Simple missing things like this are very telling on the overall engine of the game and what end game is going to look like. The fact that they didn't even see what Blizzard did in Cata OR what Blizzard is doing in Mists is downright ridiculous in this day and age. The talent system in swtor is NOT FUN. The progression in swtor is NOT FUN. "Oh, I have to run back to the only trainer on the entire world, roughly 10 minutes away from where I am, to get 'Rocket Punch 5'? Fun..... meh" They didn't even incorporate a 'pets/mount' UI frame. The stuff sits in your inventory.TL/DR: Excepting the voice acting (which is STELLAR), the game is shipping 5 years old.I don't know what the game will look like in a year, but I'll wait. If there hasn't been significant enhancement to the game, I will pass. I'm glad I was in the beta, because I almost dropped the coin for this game. Honestly, the only reason it's an MMO is so they could recoup the development cost. Otherwise, it should be a SP with MP elements for as much as you deal with other folks during questing.
all of leah's opinions are too fangirlish. "bleh!"
