It's time to crown your choice for the best game of 2011, after a month of hard fought battles, it's down to Assassin's Creed: Revelations and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for all the marbles in Videogame Deathmatch.

The only reason I visited G4 was because they have great content in the Feed (even if it is days late sometimes...). Anyways, each game nominated this year was great. I actually own every single one. Skyward Sword impressed me the most this year which is why I voted for it. I think G4 has been rude to their fans many times but I think this is the last time I will see this site. Each game had an equal opportunity and yes some people took it too far but with G4 representing the attitude people should have towards video games and the entertainment industry, they messed up here. Goodbye G4.

Fanboys aren't what scored Skyward Swords victory here. Skyward Sword being a great game is what did it. The "Fanboys" supported it, because they had a very good reason to. It's not like it was a terrible half-baked game, the pushed though just to get it some attention. The franchise has a whole has been amazing, and Skyward Sword is the best yet. Despite the flak X-play gave it, and their failure to realize that the changes made from previous installments, worked for THIS game. And not only did they work, they worked in a way that made a game that was beyond fun, beyond engaging, and added a whole new sense of challenge never quite seen before in the franchise. Everything was a vast improvement, it was very well put together, and it's clear that the designers took their precious time to nitpick and add in every little detail possible to make this a great game. Personally I would I preferred for Skyrim to have won, mainly due to is sheer amount of playability, but I recognize Skyward Swords greatness. It was a fair win.
TL;DR: Skyward Sword deserved the W here. It's a great game, and we should all accept that.
If not, move on without whining or complaining. What's done is done the net has spoken.

why do so many people have so much vitriol for Nintendo? Every Nintendo game scores low, all the systems are looked down apon. Did you hear them bash the 3DS? EA craps out another sports game perfect score!
Ocarina of Time 3D got a 4/5 a graphic upgrade and 2nd quest and 3d to a game that is called the greatest game ever made.

G4TV doesn't give credit where its really due, the game won because it is a great game and the community of gamers voted, the word was spread quite wide across several gaming sites for everyone to make an account and vote for their favorite game. Skyward Sword won because of the potential it has and the new feel it brought to a lot of gamers in this stale era of gaming. Very unprofessional on how you handled this Xplay team. You have been in a sharp decline for a while and you're starting to hit rock bottom, its time to abandon ship. I won't be coming around to G4TV anymore after this last comment. This site is a waste of time along with its shows.

I can't believe all the Nintendo Fanboys. G4 dosen't hate you. They even have a Staff Favorite on Buyers Guide Top Nintendo Games and must have on Wii's. Zelda Included. You are upset because they dont praise Zelda as th greatest thing since sliced bread. If want praise for Zelda go somewhere else like the nintendo webpage.I am sure your game will get alot of praise there.
But the truth is in the gaming community people cared more for Batman, Uncharted, Portal and Skyrim. Why?Because this game were far more anticipated than Zelda. So deal with it.
