See this is what Xplay use to be about Funny Skits and Awesome Game host with Great Reviews and Qurkey characters Mixed In. Still have the Great Game Host and reviews but we need the characters and skits back.

I love Skyrim, and I probably do agree that it is the best game of the year, but how did Skyward Sword not get a nomination at the very least? It is a work of art. It revolutionizes the Zelda series with it's Motion+ gameplay and crafting. Plus, the side quests are awesome. Fantastic game that definitely deserved a nomination for GotY.

Well now its official, no surprise, Now i just need to wait for the GOTY edition to come out. im renting the original so ill have the money when GOTY comes out

Well, Disgaea4 is my game of the year.
But i'm okay with Skyrim, even though i totally disagree.
i feel good about being that guy who plays all those wonderful weird games no one seems to know about.

I hear a lot about Legend of Zelda being the best game of the year. I enjoyed Skyrim very much and I don't own a Wii. Zelda had good reviews, but there were quite a few games that had better reviews on pretty much any site out there. Fans apparently aren't in agreement with critics.

What exactly is it about Skyward Sword that makes Zelda fans think it's the best game of the year? I keep hearing that it's great, but no one actually says why.

I have to agree with some people that are, well confused... I love all Bethesda games I am still playing Fallout 3 (still need to finish 2 DLC packages) love it. Skyrim is awesome but the fact that it becomes pretty much unplayable after 80+ hours seems like a big flaw to give it game of the year... Skyward Sword was amazing, I am a huge Zelda fan and yes Nintendo fan boy but I don't think it was game of the year either (though definitely should have had the nomination amazing game, my second/third favorite game of the year). Uncharted 3 was beyond words love Naughty Dogs and really thought they where going to win it this year, but my personal vote went with Arkham City. Like X-Play did a couple of years back they gave the award to Fable 2 because that was the game they had most fun playing and replaying and this year that was Batman Arkham City for me. Had way to much fun playing that game. But in the end it is just the personal opinion of individuals. I can recognize MGS games are amazing but make me play one and I will fall asleep... And i know DBZ games are not great barely good but man i have fun with them. Oh and i have not played Saint Rows so really can't comment on that one.

The second I started playing Skyrim it was clearly evident that it was game of the year. Oblivion got the GOTY when it was released so its natural that Skyrim takes the crown. Bethesda combined all the great aspects of Oblivion and the Elder Scrolls story, with the best parts of Fallout3, perks and fatalities making a truly epic game.
