Weak year for X-box Exclusives?
More like fewer came out compared to Sony.
None of the exclusives that came out, on the upper end were weak, as far as quality.
The Sony exclusives were average, to bad.
Except for Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, Ratchet and Clank and Little Big Planet 2.
Killzone 3, average, Resistance 3 Average, SOCOM 4 Bad
Already Gears bests all of Sony's shooters.
Forza 4 is the best racing title this generation, gran turiswhat?
In my opinion, Microsoft didn't miss on any of their front line exclusives. Meaning their weakest one was good.
Where as Sony missed on 3.
Also Uncharted 3, was a good game, not great and the story felt weak compared to other entries.
Infamous 2, and Little Big Planet 2, were great exclusives though.
Exclusives in the long run? expect off years because fewer publishers can afford to be exclusive, and also development time itself.
You will see exclusive aspects of the same game, for one system, but fewer and fewer exclusives will come out, because nobody is making the kind of money the game industry did last generation.
Will you still have exclusives? yes. However never to the point where every year, a handful of must have games for one system will be out.
Two year waits is about the average.
Think Microsoft was weak this year on exclusives? Wait for Sony's exclusives next year, Starhawk, some space MMO and Maybe The Last Guardian. Unless you pay the Money for a Vita, it will be far worse than Microsoft this year and even with the Vita it won't be as good.
