I agree with Kirby's Return to Dream Land; it was a lot of fun and excellent 4-player co-op.
Rayman Origins and Little Big Planet 2 should have on the family games list.

There's one glaring omission in my opinion.
Rayman Origins: It takes the formula of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and assaults your senses with amazing, cartoon-like, hand drawn visuals and a catchy, whimsical soundtrack. It's artistic creativity is unrivaled by anything this generation. It harkens back to a period in gaming where creativity and fantasy drove the medium, while also embracing the technological advancements today provides. It's simply a masterpiece.

Strangely enough, I must agree with the addition of Skyrim to this list. My 4-year old daughter loves watching me force shout my companions off cliffs and watching them slide down the mountains only to come running back up relatively unharmed.
