For Saints Row 4 they should bring back Shaundi and Viola just like they did with the main character in saints row 1. in saints row 1, it was said that the main character dies in an explosin in the ending. But then he comes back in saints row 2. If not at least Bring Back Jonny Gat!

They should go back to the roots, a like the craziness in the game, but what made SR 2 the best game ever, was the story and the characters, and in this regard SR 3 was a huge let down. I don t know where a should begin, the only good thing in the plot was Killbane (that otherwise was a boring gang leader, plus pretty much the only enemy in the whole game) last speak, pretty much everything else in the plot sucks, and was a betrayal to the previous games. They should focusing on getting the plot right next time, and in second hand made it more crazy. The gameplay is already good.

Oh or bring back the leader of the Vice Kings form Saints Row 1, he was cool, and/or Lin's boyfriend (can't remember his name) but its a shame you killed off Lin, Julius, that hot woman who was second in comand of the Vice Kings, Johnny, Shaundi, Carlos (allthough he wasn't that interesting anyway), Viola, and Aisha...

I think that first of all Saints Row The Third was a bit disappointing, firstly because the graphics were not any better than Saints Row 2, secondly because the costomization wasn't much better, and last and mainly because the plot was no better than Saints Row 2. All in all it was very disappointing after all of the hype... Also, how are they going to make a Saints Row 4 when with the Saints Row The Third choises Shaundi, Burt Reynolds and Viola 'could' be dead or alive, Peirce 'could' be mayor of Steelport, Kia and the stag leader 'could' be dead, Killbane 'could' be dead, so they can't bring any of them back, which sucks because Shaundi, Viola, Kia and Killbane were all interesting characters, and with Johnny Gat, arguably the best character of the other games, dead!? So with Saints Row 4 they really need to work on a good plot, I mean, its fun to have a 'wild' game, but I think the plot is still much more important, because it is what makes the game interesting and not just fun to play, because fun doesn't last that long, where as interesting does, maby they could bring back the leader of the deckers or something, but I don't see what else they can do since they have killed of every interesting character in the game that ever lived (oh apart from Dex and Troy from Saints Row 1, they should bring them back). I mean I get that in the 'gang life' people die, but seriously? Its a game! They didn't have to KILL JOHNNY AND SHAUNDI!!!!!! (lol)

I'm kind of diggin whats going on in the Saints Row series. They seem to be more focased on a more fun and completely over the top experience.Which I think has been on a decline with the GTA series.I wish more developers would try and make more games like this and spread it to other genres. The gaming industry as a whole needs more parody style, over the top adventures and not just focas on dark'deadpan serious concepts all the time.

GTA V is gonna kick SR3 and SR4 in the gonads so hard it will pass out, then it will bring it to, just to kick it again.

They're already saying "SR3 isn't good, so we're going to make the next one better."

Not a good sign for SR3 fans.

Yo ho ho and a bottle of... Saint's Row.

Anyway... I wouldn't be worried about SR3. Companies say this often to let you know well in advance that enough interest is invested into a series, to merit a continuation of it.

mixed feeling about this. They say that "work is already being done", but what kind of work? Is it simply in the drawing boards, or is actual 'work' work being done. If so, then I don't know if that's such a good thing. I mean, I know that some developers go straight from one to the next, but there should be some time in between to assess the customer base from the last and apply changes to the new accordingly. If they are simply in the planning, story boarding and such, I am fine with that. Ideas being thrown around, story plans and such, and so you have a set direction as soon as the green light is given from the customer base; that I am fine with.

    Mixed feelings are mixed.

I'm both glad and concerned to hear they already started pre-production on the next game, I know it's not uncommon for devs to be working on the next ASAP but just the fact they are being so open about it so soon is a bit.. odd.

It's good in the way of them probably not focusing on pumping a bunch of DLC into the current one, i'm sure there will be some DLC but I take it as a fairly good sign they have confidence in the "stock" size of the game.

But i'm concerned for a couple of reasons.

Some legit problems or issues we might have in SR3 could not be addressed (bugs, glitches, hacks, the usual stuff), and rather just swept under the rug because it is an after thought in their minds.

Also after digging into the game a bit more, they've taken some pretty big steps backwards when compared to past SR games (major one being customization), to a point that has caused a loss in interest for a lot of fans.

It's pretty clear Volition wants to remedy that problem, but now with the up front news of SR4 anything that could have been brought in to address those things will probably be saved for the next game.

Being a pretty big fan of the SR games myself, this news combined with what I do know just leaves me wondering if SR3 will turn out to be more of a trial and error experience for them and be the one to skip now..
