Well sucks for you that you have to buy it. Everyone else but you gets it for free, its called an optional patch you could say. The catch is it is Free!

This is !@#kin ridiculous. You charge players money for a "High Res" pack? Weren't you supposed to include that already? I'm sick of game devs half assing a game, for more money. Oh well I'm going to buy the PC version tomorrow.

I'm getting ready to pickup my paid in full Pre-Order for Xbox 360... so if running the HD Texture pack is an option, then I'm going to install it since i have a lot of HDD space on my XBox. But if I didn't have the ability to do so, I wouldn't be super upset because there doesn't seem to be a massive difference. I watched this in HD, and couldn't tell a ton of difference. Especially on the sniper hit/blood splatter. There are subtle differences though. Given this game looks and sounds amazing as it does, you might as well get all you can out of it right? I'm sure on a PC with a God-like video card, it's incredible. But my Xbox 360 will do me just fine, because even the WORST BF3 choice makes most games look and sound like crap IMHO.

So the train was moving super fast and the guy manages to jump forward toward the front of the train when he was hanging out the window?

Can't see any sort of difference at all. Blowing up the video just makes it all look the same. Better video resolution would make this worth taking into consideration.

There were pictures of the no hi res texture pack and with it and this just proved those pictures wrong. The pictures looked like it changed everything, the meshes looked like they were from Half life 1 along with the textures, but now I'm thinking that those were just the Ultra versus low quality setting on the pc version. The lighting is better on the HD texture pack the textures were slightly better but not very noticeable, there wasn't much of a difference between the two. The HD texture pack side looked like it had better fps too.

I can sense DPsx7 coming in here saying something stupid, since it's an xbox 360 thread.

The texts in the HD version are sharper but with or without the HD upgrade load, both versions look nice. But screw graphics, how is the gameplay?!

i would say get BF3 for the pc or the ps3 those are the one that will bring out the graphics in the game but anyway BF3 is a great game

What is with the "buy" part of this article? There is no buying the hi res pack. It comes with the game as you load it up for the first time. It's just up to you to decide if you have the room in your HDD.

Is bunnyglomp on crack or what?

I guess being a fanboy he didn't even watch the video ans see there is no PC just the 360 with and without the optional texture pack installed.

BTW, there is no purchase required.

Now show us what the PS3 looks like without the install...a blue screen.

And if you all have problmes the PC version...

Evidently several of my mates (friends) and I are being kicked off of servers after a minute of play. I find that I am not alone. We are playing the PC version of the game. Several people suggested its Punk Buster. Some say its a corrupted file. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game...

I've downloaded BF3 from origin and install it ...
the problem is every time I join a server, it always appears you we're kicked by administrator...
I've already install Punkbuster + update the game via origin.. please help me....

    and i already try
1: Delete the /pb/ folder inside your Battlefield 3 directory. Your BF3 directory is located at C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\
    2: Run Origin as Administrator
3: Right click on Battlefield 3 and select Repair
4: Wait several minutes for game to finish repairing and updating.
5: Check your Battlefield 3 folder. /pb/ should be in there, and you should be ready to go.

I joined a server with pb disabled and I could play no problem, so it is definitely pb that is the issue. I tried reinstalling pb using pbsvc.exe, downloading pb from their website and reinstalling bf3 completely, as well as forwarding all the ports and still nothing works. I even uninstalled my av (norton) and disabled my firewall completely.
