    no way that was an AK-47, she wouldnt have been able to fire it full auto..and firing it single shot would have been tough enough for her..the AK-47 is 7.62, i dont care what people say these days the AK-47 isnt changed to 5.56..its still AK-47, it is and always has been a beast of an assault rifle. She got the practically indestructible right..

    I agree with RyanR.
    That was an AK-74.
    The AK-74 was designed to be the equivalent more or less to the M-16. The AK-47 tended to be difficult to hold on target in full auto, and the bullets had a tendency to pierce through and through a person. The AK-47, like the M-16 is a lighter bullet that "tumbles" through the target, causing more damage. The disadvantage is that it's not as good at shooting through metal covering, such as a car door. If Candace had fired an AK-47 in full auto, she'd probably would have broken a clavicle bone. I would think the AK-47 would have appeared larger than what we saw on the show. It's heavier, longer and more bulky.

    @RyanR - it was probably an AK-47 chambered in 5.56 NATO. it looks like, and is still called the AK-47 even though the modern variant is either the AK-101, 102, or 108(depending on options and barrel length), and are made with modern machining and polymers. The newer ones are used in all NATO forces along with our M-16 and M-4 carbines that use the same round.

    I believe that AK was an AK-74 that fires the 5.45x39 round, unless the AK was modified to fire the 5.56x45 that is. Nice shooting for a chick btw.
