Ok, i'm just going to put this out there. To me Batman is a rich guy who's parents are killed by a member of the lower class. So Batman sets out on a life mission to beat up poor people. The only reason he gets away with this is because he is rich... The only thing stoping him from killing all the impoverished of the city are the so called "villains" who organize the otherwise defenseless poor. The entire fiction is about his tyrannical construction ,then ultimately destruction, of an almost feudal like society. batman has forced the poor and defenseless of the city to ally themselves with cruel and oppressive "land lords". Batman must then destroy the land lords/ villains he has indirectly created so that he can murder the then defenseless impoverished of the city that he so dearly hates.

I'll miss Adam. I wonder if Morgan is far behind? But Blair is an excellent choice. Hopefully that means that Jessica will be on more, too. Blair is definitely a lucky man.

So, is the multiplayer ME3 a prelude to a Mass Effect MMO? I'm not much of an MMO fan, but an MEMMO I might actually play. Playing through ME2, there is so much little crap going on that you already have a vibrant universe full of stuff to do and a variety of classes and races, existing politics, etc. ME3 multiplayer, I still think I could do without. I get the feeling it's something of an litmus test for an MMO, but suspect rather than it being a good litmus test, it will come across garbled, or in the maudlin middle.

RE: Rage party, game devs losing sight of themselves and their role in it? Probably a Bethesda/publisher decision, but really, Game development is big business. The people who were the original fans, the stalwarts, the people who suffered through gaming's infancy and all of it's faults and failures, it's poor controls, it's simplistic gameplay, it's visuals that made unidentifiable the action on the screen...do they have control of this stuff. Or has the community that originally made gaming great become insignificant in relation to the money involved...

RE; the fluidity of combat. Wasn't Arkham asylum going to be a rhythm game? Could be the source of all of that. How bad would that rhythm game have been?

RE: Should a non-batman fan buy this? I'm not in love with Arkham asylum. And I'm pretty effing tired of batman tbh. The combat, what they were trying to do should have been smoother. The perspective trapped and cage-match style finales sucked, particularly as the game progressed and the devs wanted to increment the difficulty. Those closed quarters made his great mobility really necessary, but also a bit painful. He needed more room to move around for those sequences to be comfortable. I end up feeling stressed in those parts of the game, not enjoying them, and finishing them so I feel as though I completed it, not because I loved it. So the question I have for you is...have they fixed those things? If so, then possibly. I haven't played Arkham city yet, and I'm not sure I'm going to, but I think those would be the largest problems faced by non-batman fans. Arkham asylum is a good game, but it could have been better too. It sounds as if Arkham city is, but does it actually redress the problems of the original game?

I love Sessler hosting but Herter is pretty entertaining as well. Passing of the torch I see.

Stephen's Feedback music video was awesome. Adam is not going anywhere, he just wanted to trade seats for one time. This episode was very funny and informative.

Ok, enough about mobile gaming. iOS will never be the place for hardcore gaming. Everyone know that Windows 8 tablets will be running PC games in 2 years.

Gah... another one, the LA Times had an article about why/how Warner is the only one of those "multi-media conglomerates" that made it in the gaming industry and is rather profitable, while almost everyone else coming from a cinema/TV-background had to pull out because they were just making losses, including Disney, Universal, Viacom and others: http://www.latimes.com/busines s/la-fi-1018-ct-warner-interac tive-20111018,0,7733264.story

Lol, such a good episode. I had a feeling that someone would eventually take Adam's place in Feedback, but i didn't want to believe it! But Blair's a good choice.

This episode even got me excited about Arkham City, a game which I woefully admit wasn't planning to buy. I'll probably check it out now :D

And that was quite an intro, Mr. Stephen Johnson XD

Oh yeah, regarding "Mobile gaming", I read a rather interesting "critical" article by a developer involved in making a lot of these games, the kind of decisions they make to keep people coming back and "monetize" their games etc. and the manipulation and he didn't exactly paint it in a good way to say the least :P

Regarding Batman I'd REALLY like to play it, Arkham Asylum was one of my favourite games the last 5 or so years by far... but the powers that be say "no, you'll have to wait another month!". At least I'll get all the PhysX-Elements and DirectX 11 with Tessellation and other stuff enabled, which made a lot of difference even on the first game (Scarecrow Levels were just sooo much more atmospheric) and I play most of these "consoley" games with a Wireless 360-gamepad on my TV anyway, just benefitting from the PC hardware and features while I'm at it :P
