For those who are unaware, betas often use tech and set pieces that are at the very least 3 months oldupon the time of release. Chances are they are even older than that. The maps that appeared in the GOW3 beta were dramatically different than the released product and even the weapon balancing had changed. The BF3 beta is more than likely a server workload/ner code test. Perhaps testing the eve up system that is currently in place. It is doubtful the finished game will ship with the clipping problems present i the beta. All releases of this nature have their own release and prep work involved that is done alongside the actual development, so there is no telling how far along they had to pull the code to have it ready for the set beta release, this could be from last year, considering the number of players thetyve been handling

I was hoping the beta would sell me on Battlefield but it really is quite disappointing.

I love how people judge Mw3 before its even really shown. I also love how the bf3 was the buggiest glitchfest beta ive ever played. "Well no duh broooooo its a betttttaaaaaaaa" Ya for a game being released in a few weeks ill bet my left foot they wont have enough time to fix even half of that nightmare before it comes out and ontop of that the content that was shown in the beta was really small compared to the full game so if metro with no vehichles plays like that then I dont even want to touch other maps. Battlefield wins when it comes to messin around and not caring but when it comes down to being competitive cod wins hands down. So go ahead dice fans give me thumbs down and try to argue with me as much as you want but ill sit with the VERY VERY few Cod fans left. Hell with any luck CoD rep might go back up if we can convince all the little jerky kids to join battlefield.

P.S Dice trys to hard when it comes to putting down CoD. There like that annoying kid who trys to make fun of someone else to boost their popularity but they just fail so hard...

I was really disappointed with BLOPS and have had BF3 preordered for quite a while now. But getting in on the beta has me really worried because the things is rediculously buggy. And I mean crazy buggy! People getting half buried in the map flashing screens heavy lag.(could be the players) I could go on and on about what I think they should change but im not here to rant. I will do my part and submit my list/rant to them and hopefully they will fix them. Hey its better to have a glitchy beta than no beta at all.

I think MW3 WOULD win without a doubt....if it wasn't the exact same game that we've already played through twice...

Different people like different games. Can't the Battlefield people get Battlefield and the Call of Duty people get Call of Duty and the I like both people get both and the I don't like either people not get either one without a group of people going crazy over it?

Batman : Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Saints Row The Third, Assassins Creed : Revelations, Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword.

Sorry Activision and EA, but my plate is full.

The beta being open to everyone was really a good idea on EA's part, its gonna show people what they have to offer, show everyone they are not gonna just imitate CoD but truly bring something new to the table. Plus even though the beta has bugs, this just means a patch will be available the moment the game releases fixing those issues. Unlike MW3 which will be released with nothing tested outside what Activision and the devs do internally, resulting in yet another buggy, broken, terrible release.

I have no idea at all what happened at Activision. COD3 was quite a great game, the second fps shooter I bought for the PS3. The maps were okay at the time, the machine guns could be mounted, the weapons were fun, and there were vehicles! Tanks, jeeps, and motorcycles. Now we have COD4, vehicles are gone completely, what happened? Who knows but the game was still okay. Next we have COD5 and they decided to put tanks back. The addition of Nazi Zombies though overshadowed most of the other parts of the game though. MW2 doesn't have vehicles but the kill-streaks are reasonable, plus most of their maps aren't suitable for vehicles anyways. Then we have COD7, or Black Ops. Vehicles once again gone, vanished from the series. What happened? Who knows but someone needs to be fired. COD became a fully Close Quarters Combat. No vehicles, snipers are useless, did I mention mountable machine guns have been gone for a while now? It's like GTA San Andreas To GTA IV, just about all the good features were chucked to make the game "better" in their sense. The realistic factor now gone, sniping has become a Quick Scope only thing. In fact, your frowned upon if you even try hard scoping. Graphics have gotten no improvements for the last 3 games. Destruction does not apply at all besides little bullet holes in the wall. There is no more defend a position, it's run around or die. COD3 was pretty team friendly. Non-frustrating and fun. You supported each other and defended positions together. Every game after that has pretty much been FFA though. It's quite sad to see how the series turned out. If they had stayed on their track they could have become a good teamwork game with vehicles and still have maintained their fast paced shooter ideals. Activision made a bad decision in taking the series the way it did. If you are a good player, you dominate, if you are not, the game becomes a nightmare of running from better guns and kill-streaks. Battlefield has done what COD had a chance to do, and they are knocking on the door while the people in Activision bang their heads on their desks. Battlefield 3 will take FPS games to a whole new level while Activision fades away. It will happen unless drastic changes are made.

being a fan of both cod and battlefeild i'm getting both when they come out tho my money is battlefeild being the top dog in this years FPS battle. Cod has being "trying to improve their mutiplayer but by doing that they are skimming the single player campain down to just 4-6 hours of play, plus mw3 has some new perks and everything but for people who enjoed black ops mutiplayer stuff all that has been dropped no point system, there might not even be a dive system. plus mw3 is using the same engien they used in mw2 so the graphics are gonna look a few years old. But since i'm shelling out 60 bucks for battlefeild 3 and 100 for mw3 hopefully they are both worth the time and money.

I'm a long time COD fan but have lost all interest in the series outside of zombies. I enjoyed Battlefield 1943 but didn't like the BC2 demo. Long story short I tried out the Battlefield 3 beta and loved it, it convinced me to pick it up and unless I get MW3 for my b-day or x-mas I'll likely skip it.

Everyone who keeps saying BF is a clone of COD needs to shut up. Dont forget Battlefield came first! Then COD screwed stuff up big time, sure COD4 was great but it was all downhill from there. Now its all about putting out a new game every year and 4 DLCs to go alog with it. They decided to go Quantity over quality I feel sorry for all you suckers who ended up paying nearly 200 for one COD game thats gonna be outdated next year. And COD hasnt changed a bit graphically of style wise in 4 years, ud think they could at least come up with a better engine or tsomething. I say all of this after being a loyal fan of COD for many years and then one day i played BF:BC2 and my view instantly changed. Everything about it is better, the weapons are more realistic, there are awsome vehicles ( which COD always has lacked), the graphics are amazing, the sound is spectacualar, a lot less lag than COD, games last nearly an hour sometimes which is great less waiting in lobbys but above all its just a lot more fun. I dont even mind when i loose because i still have a blast blowing up buildings and running people over in tanks. Just like the comersial shows BF deffinately goes above and beyond the call of duty....

i love the bf3 beta so far. it has small problems of course but can be easily worked out. mw3 is going to be cool because i like the campaign and the multiplayer. I also loe the custom accessories that bf3 added because they are fun to use but no over powered and there is more variety in terms of gun customizations, you can have three accessories on a gun without make it overpowered and frustrating. i think that is impressive and must have taken some hard work. mw3 will be great too im sure even if it is the same game but if people are just realizing that now its a little late, but thats why people are drawn to it. the way the game plays just works, its fast, fun, and easy so it can appeal to a wider range of consumer where bf3 is more intimidating to some people as a result of the style of gameplay. please reply if you have any comments that are not fanboy b.s.. i actually like to hear other people's opinions and respect them if they make a genuine argument

Judging from the beta I'd say there are two MW titles coming out this fall. :(
