• The Samsung Blu-ray home theater system is very shiny with the Blu-ray player built right into the receiver.
• This is great for cutting down on stacks of devices.
• The player is slot loading, so this means no big tray popping out.
• Aside from the volume control, there are no physical buttons on here which is great, and throughout testing, they were very responsive.
• The rear speakers are billed as wireless but that's not totally true.
• There is no wire going from the main unit to the speaker, but there are wires going from the rear speakers to their own wireless receiver.
• A lot of 3D Blu-ray players take a while to load through the menu, and this system was no different.
• We tried disks from a variety of publishers and found that the load times across the board were a little slow.
• The picture looks great and we noticed very little noise.
• The 3D looks as good as 3D can look and if that's what you looking for in a player, you won't be disappointed.
• What sets this system apart from others is its built-in ability to access the web.
• There aren't that many apps available right now in the Samsung App store but all the big ones are there, like Netflix and Hulu Plus.
• There are also apps for social media like Twitter, news and weather.
• There's even a USB port to plug your own drive of media into.
• There are only 2 HDMI ports on the system but you already have Blu-ray and web app capabitilities included.
• The sound quality is incredible: the receiver is 1000 watts.
• The unit comes with a calibration microphone so you can be sure it's tuned properly.
• We tested this out with various levels anf ound that clarity was never an issue.
• Well mixed Blu-rays sound genuinely great.
• There was plenty of power to fill up a large living room.
