Feedback -- Diablo 3 Beta Impressions

I have played 5.5 hours of BF3 Beta, and around 3-4 hours of the Alpha, how i look at the whole "Its barely a beta, its a demo cause its coming out in just a month" issue is that the Alpha was the testing for problems/issues/bugs. The Beta isnt a demo, its the "lets find more bugs/issues/problems, and with the info we get from the Beta, this will help us create a day 1 (or month 1) patch". Also it is a major testing of server loads and Battlelog, which can be changed on a dime because it is a webpage plugin.

So basically Alpha=Beta, Beta=Day 1 patch. However the real question is what is the Beta in terms of Dev cycle. Assuming BF3 is Gold, being made onto discs ready for Oct 25th, is the Beta a 1 month old build and the Alpha was 2 months old?
This matters really only because how broken the Beta has been. Operation Metro has invisible fallen trees in the Alpha, and now in the Beta thats completely gone, but the ground of the "park section" of the map is completely glitchy...as in falling through the ground, crawling through rocks glitchy.

I think the real talking point is by them putting out the Beta so glitchy, and a map and game style (rush) so aimed towards COD players, how many BF2 hardcore fans did they lose? IMHO they should have released 2 maps, Operation Metro for all the COD fans to play and think "wow i love this, so action packed! so fast moving!" and a larger, 64 player, CTF classic BF2/1942 map for all the Battlefield Die hard fans to play and go "wow, this is what i was hoping it would be!". Win win..but oh well.
