I know this article is way old and no one will read this comment but:

If the quarterback gets sacked are they court ordered to put the dog down?

Well, let's not forget, the dang "Puppy Bowl" does very well each year. What number are they up to? 4 years now? 5? more?!

Perhaps the developers were trying to entice that market?

Makes you think if they can get Jerry Rice to sponsor this game then they could have though of a better game because whoever tought dogs and football would make an awsome game doesn't know the gaming world. It may work for the little kids, but if you want to mak money in the industry you target the teens and adults not the little kids.

It is so true. Pro athletes will endorse the most humiliating of products. Deion Sanders dressing up as a fairy is just the latest and highest profile one. But it dates all the way back to Joe Namath wearing pantyhose for that ... pantyhose commercial. So what was that? The 60s?

And yea, Jerry Rice, I know athletes aren't actors, but how hard is it to say a few lines without sounding like a speak'n'spell?!
