Amnesia is the worst....lets not forget the waking up in bed and not knowing your name also, but know everyone and everything else. I hate that. And the others they failed to mention: stupid companions for comic reliefs, the super tough cry baby (such as Barret in FF7), main characters leaving the group for a short period, and the good guy/best friend that becomes bad guy by betraying everyone.
As much as I love Final Fantasy games, I hate the cliche that your friend/rival becomes your nemesis's lapdog. Can't best friends stay best friends throughout even one RPG game? And last, I hate being able to buy or craft the best weapons in the game...they should always be rare drops.

Yes damn RPG cliches, Amnesia is the biggest oldest book of them all. One for me is buying the items/equipment in the store and then finding it later on a quest or getting it as a reward. Son of a...

not sure if its a cliche or just a trend but the quirky, odd, or unnecessarily goofy character is just annoying not comic relief as i assume it is supposed to be taken as. (i.e. cait sith ffvii, quina ffix, jupis tooki mcgannel rogue galaxy just to name a few)

You know what cliche bothers me?

Turning an RPG into an Action RPG for the retards with no attention span, does that count as a cliche considering the fad?

Quite honestly i found it Funny and mostly true. But not gonna lie this seems so much like a reference To FF7( and most Jrpg games we never get to play).However The third one made no sense, I mean who is gonna complain about a character looking good in a video game? That is like asking Dante to purposely get beat down by a demonic Mop and a Bucket (wonder twins XD).

You know what else is cliche? G4 complaining about cliches. You guys are kind of right about some of these, but it's fine, as they aren't the only games in the world.
