@Stephen Johnson: if someone didn't mention it already, the reason someone keeps dropping into your game of Dead Island is because in your settings you allowed other players to join your game. You can change the settings to prevent this.

I have to disagree with Adam Sessler regarding levelling system. I like RPGs that give you the freedom to create your character the way you want like you want a to be brute with unstoppable power or you rather go with stealth and picking locking/hacking through levels. If the options are limited instead of having wide array of abilities to select, every playthrough is going to be similar and every character you create is not going to be very distinct.

I also had the same reaction as Adam on Syndicate, I had great times playing the Syndicate games. But isn't Adam the one going on Sessler's Soapbox saying how change is good, especially how not to judge games early when it's not out?

I had to sell Dead Island after 3days. At first i didn't notice any bugs. But when i turned on my PS3, and noticed my character was 17 levels behind, I knew I got hit by the game save glitch. After going through that same process 3 more TIMES, I finally said "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

To bad b/c its and addictive game. But I honestly never wanna associate myself with Dead Island again.

Space Marine was one of most fun games I have played in the last year. I loved this game and this universe. Go out and get this game.

Blair's opinion of dead island exactly mirrors mine. Absolutely love it :)

Got into the Warhammer universe with Dawn of War 40K, loved that game probably one of my favorite RTS ever. There is so much to the universe you cannot cover very much of the universe in one game. That said they could have shown more in Space Marine.

First off why are video game companies good and pharmaceutical companies which develop and produce life saving drugs evil?

Second Syndicate was awesome but I liked powermonger more.

And last I suspect she did not get the captain caveman reference either.

    Cute laugh around 28:20 :P

Space Marine is a lot more similar to Darksiders really (which was also published by THQ and was a free bonus for people Pre-Ordering Space Marine on Steam).
I started it in "Shooter Mode" with Keyboard+Mouse, but somehow I switched to a Controller pretty soon, because it isn't as much a "Shooter" as it is a Hack&Slay with Shooting elements. Good game really, but a bit repetitive.

Adam, I would like to enjoy my show about video games. Please stop talking about politics. It doesn't make the show more clever or interesting. I like G4 for information on video games, not random pot shots at political figures you don't like.

I have the pc version of Dead Island, & I've experienced my share of glitches & bugs, but they haven't been deal breakers for me. As far as the skill trees are concerned, I had no difficulty figuring out what they were or where they lead -- even before you apply one skill point you can scroll through the trees to see what they're about. I also had no problem with the driving -- if I found the same driving mechanics in a racing game I'd be horrified, but for what the purpose of driving is in the game I haven't had one problem with it -- go from point A to point B, run over zombies, no problem, it's very functional. I have no idea what the console versions are like, so maybe that would be the difference. Great Feedback, though, as always.

Congrats on a great and funny Feedback. I did notice at about 37 minutes in the audio and video went out of sync a little.

having only played space marine I still think I can safely say dead island will have more longevity, considering it has co-op for the entire campeign, and space marine's multiplayer consists of a quasi broken, extremely repetative gears of war lite style multiplayer...

Great show this week folks. Loved Blairs reaction when he said that Warhammer is a February game and Nicole points out that Kingdom of Amalur is in Feb... haha

If you read the books you find out that the COG from Gears of War are pretty fascist.

Adam praises Bioware for doing RPG balance right but, I think they also screwed up the intial experience. Although I loved Mass Effect 1&2, I felt that game was the worst in terms of forcing a player to make crucial gameplay decisions way too early. I liked the Vanguard in ME1 but regretted being a Vanguard in ME2 :(. I wish, halfway through, I could have said "screw this I want to be Adept".

Nikole, nice job today! You opened up a bit. As I am the one who always said you sucked in the past I have to give credit when it is due.
