G4's Halo expert, Kevin Kelly, reveal the new remake maps for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Take a tour and see a total of 5 multiplayer maps in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary including Beaver Creek and Installation 04.

This is really disappointing, I've been playing Halo since CE, as most of us have. When I heard about the remake I was so excited. I won't be purchasing this though. My favorite part of Halo 1, as with many of my friends, was the multiplayer. It had a feel to it that none of the other Halo's has been able to replicate.

I'm not purchasing this for Reach game play or a revamped Halo CE campaign. Give me my pistol, why do they always have to disappoint me. I've bought every game for 10 years and each one has been a step in the wrong direction. I've stuck with it hoping for this day. Thanks for nothing Bungie.

I'd like an official release on the remaining 2 maps, if they'd be so kind.

And I'm still waiting on Relic to make it's return. I LOVED that map!
Only way to survive was to have a sword & sniper or shotty & sniper weapon loadout. (or dual Needlers?)
Good times with that map; pwned all my friends in it. (^_^)'
(Of course, knowing the map better than they all did, somewhat helped too.)

wonder if they plan on releasing the halo 2 dlc maps in HD there was so many maps in halo 2 for free i loved it!!!!

For people who hate Halo 3 and Reach. My theory is that you are just upset that you can't control and hoard everything on the map to have the advantage over everybody, like you could in Halo 1 and 2 , do to improved game design. It's harder to stop people from being able to do anything in 3 and Reach, there's too many ways for fair players to find a way to have a chance against you. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for you. I love 1 and 2, but their design is too simple to be able to play against some people. I love Reach and 3 because of the changes in design. Halo has evolved, if you can't keep up, play CoD or Gears.

I am disappointed that Firefight and Multiplayer are going to be based on Reach. They could have at least had Firefight with the original Covenant, and not the new versions. I miss the old Halo experience and now armor abilities are just going to ruin that, IMO. Even if they have classic gametypes, it just won't be the same.

I am sort of disappointed all I saw was Halo Reach on halo 1 maps. I thought this was going to be halo 1 with HD graphics. Imo Reach was not fun, I miss the old Halo 1 and Halo 2, hopefully halo 4 will be good.

Ugh......Reach multiplayer with new maps, and a campaign i've already played through hundreds of times....sigh, im not letting armor lock ruin my favorite game!

The remakes of the maps keep the original nomenclature. For example, the stock remake of "Prisoner" is "Prisoner".
The 343industires "Plus" maps, where they made additions to the original maps, use different names. For example, the 343i version of "Prisoner" is "Solitary".

Got it? This has been stated many times previously and I'm slightly upset that a website /dedicated/ to gaming and gaming news doesn't know this.
