Resident Evil Revelations! Come on Sessler, you know you want to admit that there are some pretty adult titles. Nintendo advertises to bring gaming to everyone not just little kids and not just the hardcore Nintendo fans, ultimately it is third parties and Nintendo to provided games be it for kids or adults. I never look at a Mario Kart game and say, "yup that's a little kid game", I say "that looks like so much fun!", as for your views on Smartphones yes I agree they are just time wasters. And PSVita is looking interesting, but that hidden battery price is a no go for me at least at launch. I know this comment is late to the party, but it's here now

I'm not sorry for the comment. If you grew up on Nintendo from the mid to late 80s to late 90s, Nintendo is just remaking their titles from the 64! Granted it looks cool.... a decade ago! I used to be a hardcore Nintendo gamer, but now, as videogames evolved and looks way better, Nintendo is stuck in the early 90s! If I wanted something the same, I would've kept my 64 and my DS Lite. With everything on all current and future Nintendo Consoles and Handhelds, I feel like I am still 16. I don't want that. Granted that NOA tried to switch to Adult and Hardcore gaming, it is more social nowadays than anything else. PC classic games and the PS2 and PS3, let alone the classic XBox (Black Box), has more variety than the DS let alone the 3DS. Also, the graphics on all current Nintendo's is still 64-like looking, whereas the other (PS1 - Current consoles) look better. Sega even made better games when the SNES 16bit came out. In short, Nintendo if basically and Mobile Based Enviroment for Facebook and Twitter whereas the Microsoft and Sony are and will always be videogame based.

I agree. I love the vita, plenty of good games anounsed even at launch, i think i might chose to play this over a home consel too. (I dont like smart phone games very much.) I think the delay has to do with supply and the reason its in out in japans early is that thiers alot more people in eroupe and the US than in japan i cant wait till its out in the us.

This is why I don't like most gaming websites. They all bash on Nintendo. If it wasn't for the Big N, you wouldn't have your crappy little 360's or PS3's.

personally I'm glad the 3DS didn't have a epic launch line up, because I'd want all those games and i wouldn't be able to afford it. It's enough for me to know that a lot of really good games are coming out for it. But that's just me. As for the vita. It is a very powerful system. Maybe too powerful depending on it's battery life. As for it's game library there aren't enough games that catch my interest enough to want one. But truth be told i haven't looked to much into it's library. But from what I've seen it's just more of the same generic action and fps games that the PS3 and Xbox360 are flooded with. One thing i am looking forward to about the vita is the touch pad on the back. I'll be looking forward to see how game developers make use of the touch pad. I'll probably eventually get one but not until much later in it's life span. I agree totally with Adam about the iphone games. The only games i could see my self really getting into on a ipad is an old school rpg. since controls aren't as important.

Now that Nintendo see's a drop they WILL NO LONGER SUPPORT the 3DS system . So no more games for the 3ds . Thanks a lot Nintendo for another gimmick system .
Nintendo is the back street boys of the gaming world . They just have one hit wonders .

Adam, really now. iPhone every week? iPad 20? Dial down the hyperbole you're starting to sound like Yahtzee, I think the comment here is as much the development of portable games on mobile phone devices needs to be improved (given the level of tech in some of these devices) as much as the "traditional" platform holders need to adapt. Just try and dial down the rehtoric a bit. You sound like a "hater" which detracts from your message.

I bought a 3DS at launch and currently only have Pilotwings Resort...and I want to kick Iwata in the balls for waiting until September to release a red system. I grew up with Nintendo and love their non-casual 1st party titles ( hell, I recently just bought Custom Robo Arena, Advance Wars Days of Ruin and Glory of Heracles ), but the 3DS has yet to release a true must-have game. I hope Wii U has a GOOD launch line-up...preceded by the release of all 3 Operation Rainfall titles and Chibi-Robo 3.

I do want a Vita, though. Bioshock, Uncharted, Resistance, LBP, Disgaea 3.....yeah, I'm sold.

I'll go with the 3DS for right now. Better 1st party games. I kinda dig the 3D, even though I know it's a fad. I'll wait till great games start coming out for the Vita in a year's time before jumping on that train.

The PSP did something the DS didn't do for me.

Made me want to keep on playing even when I had a PS3 or my PC to play.

MGS PW and MH 1, 2, Freedom Unite, and Disagea games on the PSP just got me addicted.

The DS? Sure it had pokemon but that was about the only game that would probably keep you from using a home console. And I mostly just played pokemon on the go since I was never interested in the platform to being with, and the newer pokemon games are just plan out bad.

Everyone pretty much knows by now how Nintendo messed up with the 3DS laucnh by now, but it is Sony I don't get. Japan is the only place where the PSP isn't on life support. Wouldn't they be cutting into PSP sales releasing there first? Then again they could ask Capcom to release a new version of Monster Hunter and Vita would sell like crazy.

touchscreens taking over buttons for portability seems to be the problem but the fact is it cant ever beat classic buttons just like motion gaming cant take over on home consoles.

Cell phones don't have the same gaming experience like Adam said. Angry Birds is not exactly Metal Gear Solid or Uncharted. The Vita will appeal to gamers first which is good since its a gamer's handheld. The 3DS has been confusing to consumers since it looks like a DS and the system really doesn't have that killer app yet. I'm sure the price cut will help sales but Nintendo is the" yesterday's news company". The market has changed because of cell phones but oddly enough they aren't the gaming platforms people tink they are.....thats for the Vita (and maybe the 3DS). its weird though that Nintendo doesn't have the top handheld now.
