    I love D&D been playing since 88 and i have large collection of books My most cherished is unearth arcana signed by the late Gary in 2000 at the Winter fantasy in Fort Waynes OMG it is cold Indiana.
    For years i GM for RPGA and people would ask to be at my table cause i made the game fun and i allowed people to run with ideas that they felt there characters could pull off. I allowed this because that is what a fantasy game is about, what if it could happen ? What is the consequence if they fail ? As all books and story material like this product is just another tool in the arsenal of a GM to bring more what if or wonder and fun to his game that he presents to players. I mean really you are going to down trodden a company for releasing materials on a game we play ...You might as well throw away all material you have and start your own game world and monsters. I mean really were do you think GM's come up with there encounters ..Yep Monster Manual same product that your Pissing on now . So if your as great of an imagination then trash all your manuals and start from scratch create each monster with each individual stat . This last few lines are to address a statement made in a post on this forum.

    Dungeons and Dragons is far from dead my friends, however this is just another exercise in instant gratification. Why put all the work into creating something yourself from your own imagination?
    Lazy minds needing to be spoonfed from the wellspring of other people's creativity is very sad indeed.
    Long Live Gary Gygax! Long Live Dave Arneson! Long Live Dungeons and Dragons!!!

    Hell, I'll play these games and I kind of gave up on WotC some time ago, still, everyone I know who's played says they're quite fun. That and I love Descent so these seem right up my alley.

    Whether D&D died at XXX point in time is irrelevant. These adventure games are a lot of fun, especially for people who aren't steeped in the lore of the pen and paper game. And who doesn't love D20s?

    I have played the first two boardgames in the adventure series. They are great. On top of not having to spend all the time setting up to play D&D it is not as intimidating to new players so it is generally easier to get a group together. These are great games that build off of the formulas found in Betrayal at the House on the Hill and Descent.

    For those of us who are not "Uber DnD Buffs" these games have been a blast! You get plenty of "DnD Goodness" without all the set up time, rule book reading, etc.

    Peter Lee and Wizards, keep making more expansions!

    @Kelanil Agree 100%, but...

    Truth be told, D&D died the day TSR sold out to Hasbro.

    D&D died the day Hasbro bought Wotc. As much as I enjoy Drizzt this is just another example of that.
