The biggest problem that has been pointed out is... there are fewer "save" spots or "safe zones" .... so if you need a quick bio on a hardcore character... you may lose 2 or 3 months of your life to a bio.

Sorry, but if I can't mod it, I don't buy it.

Blizzard is considered by many as being too much of a greedy corporation at this point with questionable platform and market practices. Nothing against the DRM, but preventing modding is a big strip of something that was fun from the player-base. Also, they are turning all their players into gold sellers with their Real-Money Transaction Auction-House; of which Blizzard takes a cut of Auction-House trades in Real-Money from the player-base. Really?

So instead, there are other titles arriving shortly, excellent alternatives, that will be as rich and depth in action RPG without the nickle-and-diming from the big corporation.

Adding an auction house for real money has really soured my desire for this game. Add the fact that you NEED an internet connection to play a single player game really makes me wonder if Blizzard is trying to alienate players. Blizzard is pushing Battlenet hard despite the fact that many people are rather "meh" about battlenet. I know many WoW players that were never hacked until they converted their account to a battlenet account.

Torchlight was a quite good game. With Torchlight 2 coming out soon, I think I can survive without Diablo 3.

I'm very excited to see how this turns out. I understand the people who are upset with how somebody who has all the money in the world just buying everything on the RL AH and pwning everything, but consider the fact that we don't have all the info yet. I'm sure the PVP gear wont be available on there (at least not the actually good PVP gear - think WoW crafted pvp gear level). I'm going to guess that the only stuff that's going to be available is the BOE gear equivalent, meaning you still have to bust your ass off to get the genuine highest level gear.

I think everybody needs to calm down and see how this rolls out. Like Adam said in the video this is completely uncharted territory and if anybody is gonna be able to do it right and not scam people, it will be Blizzard. I'm sure they're not going to completely unbalance the game and make somebody able to become the ultimate god of the game only because they dropped $100 from their parent's credit card.

As for requiring constant internet connection, what does it matter? Do you people intend on shutting off your internet connection in the middle of gameplay or something? The only people who could be upset about this is the people who are wanting to Mod or alter the game and I wouldn't want those people in the game anyway. Diablo 2 was terrible for that, and it ultimately made me stop playing it.

And stop pretending like you're not gonna be playing the game because of these things - we all know we're all gonna be fighting each other to try to get a special edition copy for game launch regardless of anything that happens because, no matter what, the nostalgia of the Diablo universe will be enough to make us want to at least try it.

I can't wait to be addicted to this game.
