dude Metal gear solid...game was so long it took 2 discs, graphics were unreal, blood everywhere, scary (i was scared out of my mind in the hallway before you fight grey fox (the ninja)), you can change the end of the game with certain things you do throughout (torture scene determines if meryl lives or dies in the end) you had to think during the game (looking on the case for meryls codec #, switching ports to kill psyco mantis, laying on ketchup to look dead, a bunch of others), game was genius

Final Fantasy VII. If you have played it, then you will understand.

I disagree on Resident Evil I think Silent Hill was more influential over horror games or at least showed how horror games should have been done. Either way good list so far, can't wait to see part 2

Resident Evil? Really? You mean that game that came out 4 years after Alone In The Dark? That one? Right... Don't forget to mention that Discworld or summat was the game to inspire comedy games then, eh? *rolls eyes*

Diablo tops my list for game changers in the 90s. This was the first game that I got my wife to play and we both became very addicted to it. May late nights were spent saying "just 1 more quest til I level up"

*sigh* How I wish I had gotten into gaming sooner. I think I was still playing mostly NES games in the '90s. :P

great stuff, but I must say Goldeneye... maybe cause I'm a bit younger and this was 1997s, but I feel like this game made such an impact on sleepovers my age (i woulda been 10) and heard it made huge impacts in college dorm rooms as well. on-line play? pssshhh we got 4 nintendo controllers, let's do it!

    big heads on please.
