For some reason I get the feeling they were going to call it the Mii.....perhaps the speech leaning that way before going from Mii to U....and all those demos having "mii" attached to them...

For some other reason I keep thinking about the Udraw Tablet and the bit about nintendo helping thq create it...

ok, this IS nintendo were talkin about. They do innovative things and thats what there trying to do with this controller. AND you can still use the Wii remote and numchuck and classic soo idk y u people bitching bout it. If u dnt like it jus use the classic controllers. As for the HD graphics, I wouldnt consider it being too late. If that was the case y would nintendo be making a new console or even be in bussiness. Its never too late to update consoles.

The controller is a horrible design good for portable like the DS but not for a home console. It's to much of a distraction from the main screen it being the TV where the game should stay. As for the HD they are way too late in the game to catch up on that. Funny how they didn't show the console or game disc to see if you could watch dvd or blue ray yet...

Who cares? This wasn't a q and a interview, she was giving a series of prepared statements. Of course she's reading them. As for the WiiU, I'm not all that impressed. First of all, terrible name. Secondly, sure, the core console is finally going to have HD and graphics to compare with MS and Sony, but big deal; they're five years too late. The controller seems like a gimmick. Some of those things in the vid looked fun to do, but how many times can you look at a golfball in the sand or catch a fly ball with your Mii before it gets old and the WiiU ends up gathering dust next to the Wii?

So... it was just a little too obvious that she was reading off of a screen :)
