I think its going to be pushed back to 2012 unfortunately. Almost every other game that is slated to come out this year or early next year has had their release date out already. TOR has not, and if they were solidly strung for 2011, Bioware would have released the date at E3.

I think its going to come out mid next year. Personally, I think that Bioware should have waited at least a year after they did to reveal that they were working on TOR, because now, they are losing coverage in the news stream. Its kind of like Duke Nukem, where the game had been pushed back so many times an had been in production for so long that a chunk of people lot interest.

Whether it comes out this year or next, I have been avidly following its dev cycle since late 2009, so a little chile longer wont hurt too much. Just give me release date pleeeeese Bioware!!!

If I had to guess I would say mid November. Everything was stated for release in November this year at E3, so why not jump on that wagon and release it then?

On a different note: OMFG this game looks amazing!!! I almost nutted myself when I got to play it for 15 minutes last year at PAX and believe me that was enough to make me willing to wait until they release it. I was hoping for it to already be out by now but I guess I'll just be able to play it at PAX again this year while all you suckers wait for a release date!!

Game is 100% amazing and plays better than any other MMO on the market.. Been testing it a long time and all I can say is YES THIS IS IT!

I am gonna go out on a limb and say this will be Sept 2011 as the game is done.. All they are doing at this point is polishing

a date would be nice but I would have liked to have more commentary on the video and not about mounts.

I would love to have a date too, but I'm cool with them polishing the game until they think it's ready for release into the wild because you know matter how well they do there will still be bugs. And all the WoW fanboys hating this game because it competes with their god, relax. No game has ever been the reason for the demise of another game. WoW will be just like Everquest before it in the course of time. Everquest just celebrated 12 years online and it's still $14.95 a month.

I couldn't see myself paying a subscription for this game. I love Star Wars and the look of this game but I don't see what really diversifies it from anything else to be worth premium prices.

The combat looks so boring. People need to stop being blinded by the Star Wars and Bioware and see that this game truly is a fail.

You know what, one part of me agrees with scolito because, when Kotor 2 came out some of us or alot of us we're expecting to continue the Revan story, but instead we got saddled with a new protagonist and little explanation of what happened to Revan. And not that Kotor 2 was bad or anything, it was still good (just not as good as Kotor 1) but Obsidian did extremely little to improve or surpass Kotor 1 that was nothing more than Copy and Paste of what bioware did (and Besthda for Fallout Las Vegas) with a storyline that left more confusing holes than it should of been. And a simple time line on their site isn't going to settle, nor relieve the Kotor fans. They need a Kotor 3, and they need to clean up the continuity mess Obsidian left behind for fans to be satisfied, and that means reigniting Revans lightsaber 1 more time.

The other half of me can t wait for this game to come out, cuz who doesnt want another great Star Wars title done Bioware!

Bioware looks to have done a fine job with TOR. I just want to give a shoutout to Simutronics, the devs who created the Hero Engine, the game engine that TOR uses. I was really looking forward to their MMORPG Hero's Journey but unfortunately that game is just not meant to be. Fortunately TOR has a lot of elements that got me excited about Hero's Journey so I can't wait for TOR to come out. It looks great.
