I think Sony fanboys are just a tad bit upset that for the past month and a half, they have had to hear all the things said about the sony debacle, it seems everything said good about this conference is being disliked, with a thumbs down (hahahahahaha), and others are leaving comments that just down it, I'm happy G4 has given these guys a way to vent (so they vent on the microsoft conference comments), This conference was good, yes it had a lot of kinect- and to be honest I won't be using those things, but as I see it manipulating magic with my hands, swirling it to concentrate a more potent magic, expanding it like a mage would making a magical spear, then throwing it to take out a creature in a far tower is a step in the right direction, seems very cool, and leads me to believe of great possibilities- I mean I guess I could always scratch my back with a glowing dildo-looking thing and out pops an arrow ( I mean that sounds like it could go far in gaming), hahahahahaahahahha, damn, and I like sony P.S.- think about the scan feature, your playing a racing game, your a little bored of it, you want a new car, you pull out your coolest matchbox car from back in the day, scan it in, and bam you now racing with a bad ass brand new car, that would not necessarily be in any other game before- come on guys, that sounds real freaking awesome

Yes! It was always such a burden navigating through my dashboard with a controller. Look Ma! No hands!

The Kinect looks about as dumb as it ever did. How does anyone take this crap seriously? Without even seeing Sony's conference I can tell Nintendo won already, a new system that's trying something old, making games, as opposed to all this useless stuff with the Kinect. Voice-activated? Who cares? As if that's truly practical anyway. What moron wants to sit around and yell at their 360 all day? Are you too lazy to just pick up a controller? That's what they're for! The Kinect is just a fad, anyone who honestly thinks having no controller, having your body as the controller, is more stable and fluid than a traditional controller is just a damn ignorant fanboy. All the games I've seen from it are either nonsensical and generic, or just plain non-responsive and glitchy, the thing obviously doesn't handle well.

On a side note, the "real" games look just as boring, just another shooter, just another shooter, just another crappy new Tomb Raider, with a new look, as if that worked with any of the other games past the PlayStation era, they tried that with Dark Angel and Underworld, and everyone hated it, how do they think they can make it work now? It just looks like it's trying to cash-in on the "new " King Kong, gritty jungle feel. Not to mention Lara's voice actor being unbearably annoying. Gears of War and Halo, so? They never bring anything new to the series every installment, they're all basically the same besides a few more generic manly badasses, and another gun, like a double-barrel shotgun, ooooohhhhh.

Honestly, people complain about the Wii's lack of HD graphics, but at least they tried to make something that looked even somewhat unique, every game from Sony of Microsoft looks the same, all gritty "realistic", they don't even look like they use a different engine or program or anything. Realism is boring anyway, what's the point of a video game if it works and looks just like real life?

I remember when games were fun, when they had charm, personality, something that made you come back to play even years after it's gone "obsolete". Games these days are made to be outdated weeks later, shinier and prettier, as each older iteration is left to rot. Talk about soulless.

I have to say Microsoft did an amazing job this year. last year was kind of a disappointment but this year between gears 3, MW3, and the badass kinect enable games i'm extremely impressed. they looked like they did some awesome things with the new fable cant wait to try it. Also i'm sure i'm not alone when i say that the kinect enabled future soldier blew my mind. i have been waiting for a game to have that kind of in depth weapon modification system for a LONG time. And the way they went about it seemed just outstanding. the kinect gestures seemed a little bit awkward but i'm sure they will smooth it out. If they deliver a Call of Duty title with that kind of in depth experience plus Kinect it will be the best selling game ever!! through and through i'm very impressed. And for all the people saying Microsoft dropped the ball, and that they sucked this year, let me remind you that PSN just got hacked again, and that we as xbox gamers have NEVER been let down like that, the last time PSN went down it was don for more than a month. and Nintendo cant even begin to touch the xbox they might as well keep putting out the mario titles because thats all they have for their second rate console.

Ya know, I get that Kinect is MS's new darling, so it only makes sense that they'd be showcasing the living heck out of it. That said, so far it really feels just as gimmicky as the Wii's motion control was. I know we're relatively new in the Kinect's lifespan, but most of the 360 owners I know still don't have the Kinect and really don't feel any need to get it, and even care less at $150. So far, the majority of the Kinnect games are rail-runners, wagglers, or gimmicks that are just as easily controlled by a controller, if not moreso.

Past the Kinect, the games are looking good! Halo 4 had better be done right, or 343 is going to be in real trouble. I'm not a Gears fan, but that looked GREAT! And MW3? Oh yeah, it's a 360 year!

I hope to god that the new fable is not going to be a rail type game. Also I think Microsoft had a good conference this year.

I actually decided to skim through the conference and I think it was overall pretty decent and had a great presentation. I liked the capabilities of Kinect they showed off such as voice recognition, head tracking, object capturing, people scanning, and finger tracking. I am really impressed by the Kinect technology, I'm just waiting for it to be fully utilized. I really wish they had more exclusives at least 2 or 3 more, the multi-platform games is enough to keep me satisfied, but some exclusives wouldn't hurt.

    Xbox exclusives:
    Halo Anniversary
    Halo 4
    Gears of War
Forza 4 (looks great I'll add)

    Kinect games:
    Ryse (Codename: Kingdom)
    Fable: The Journey
    Kinect Star Wars
    Dance Central 2
(the others I don't want to mention)

Awesome...haters, get a life, you know the 360 is always moving forward, better exclusives, better motion control games, better everything...rrow up...just shows how pathetic and ignorant you guys are...Nintendo was a joke, Sony...pfft 250 for a handheld...oh lord, Tomb Rai..oops Uncharted...blah blah blah...nothing mindblowing, nothing that will move systems Like Halo, Forza, Gears, etc...

This was clearly about covering every demographic. In that, the conference was impressive. There is stuff for kids with Kinect, hardcore titles for Kinect, exclusive core 1st party, UFC was demoed well, Kinect Fun Labs is a good surprise (and playable now), the new dashboard is a step forward, being able to bing search will be an great new function, interaction with live tv is a massive step forward. I think MS did strike the right balance with the software mix. They are well aware of what the third parties are releasing, and this fall is dominated by hardcore titles. No FPS is going to survive at retail against COD and Battlefeild.
