Official Gears of War 3 "Campaign" E3 Trailer

I love Gears, and I think that is a great song. However, putting a song called War Pigs, in a videogame about war isn't exactly creative.

I thought the first two Gears trailers were excellent, I will probably never forget the Gary Jules music playing in back of the first Gears trailer. This trailer though, I would be surprised if I remember it two weeks from now. Because instead of almost making its own little mini movie like they did for the first two gears, this one just seems to be standard fare gameplay footage and looks like a trailer any other game would have.

For me, the top three trailers would be:

1. Gears of War - Mad World Trailer
2. Dead Island Trailer
3. Gears of War 2 - The Last Day Trailer

And, for me the music in the Dead Island Trailer would have worked much better for the new Gears game. The problem with using War Pigs, is up until this point a huge draw of Gears (For me at least) has been the constant undertone of "Fight all you want, you will lose". With the new trailer though, it seems to shift away from that and instead focuses on an almost Call of Duty "You're a super bad ass!" theme.

Usually third times a charm. I guess this time the opposite was true. The game still looks great, too bad the trailer was sort of blah.
