After hearing all these opinions on the game I think I will most surely pick it up. I am an adult so I too am curious to see how the younger gamers perceive this game. So many younger gamers today are missing out on great games because they are so hooked on fps games. My nephew is one of those young gamers who won't even pickup any game that involves platforming or thought to solve a problem. I have tried getting him interested in games like mario 64 and jak and daxter to no avail. It will be a sad future for me as a gamer as well as the game industry if the younger generation does not accept games with story and problem solving.

I was lucky to get my hands on LA Noire last night, and thank you Sessler, your review was spot on. The game, the world, the environment. AAAAAMMMMAAAAZZZZZIIIIINNNNGGG G. The game is not easy either. The interrogations are challenging. I agree that the immediate feedback is kind of lame, but I appreciate how they get rid of the "correct" "incorrect" notion until you are done with all of your questions. There is the musical cue about whether or not you got it right, but I believe you can turn off the chimes for interrogation and the crime scene searching from the options menu.
Anyway, can't wait to get home and play MOOOORRREEEEE!!! :D

Love the show, can't wait to watch the La Noire episode. Sessler, the industry would be nothing without your commentary and deep thoughts. You put to words what so many of us think and appreciate about games.

In my opinion L.A Noire brings something new to the table for gamers to enjoy where they are placed into a great narrative story line where as in other games like call of duty its just about shooting and killing. What I personally like about L.A. Noire is that it looks like real police work and you get to play as a Detective. Im currently majoring in Criminology and I do plan to become a police detective or FBI agent some day and I believe this game is is awesome in the aspect that im learning about things that im going to be doing with my career investigating crime scenes or other objectives.
