Agree with Hardtail67 - El Topo is a brutal film. But I happen to like films that are challenging. Otherwise, it's romcoms and films that are disposable entertainment. It's also a film you can watch over and over and discover new elements.

I did enjoy the review

I tried to like El Topo. This movie is brutal. Watch this before you buy it. John Lennon was on many many drugs when he recommended this. Alot of people have used the word pretentious in their reviews on this film and I think it fits perfectly. I see what the director was trying to do but it just doesn't work. It does not stand the test of time. Very bad movie!
