Get some security, SONY. I bet they will say they are just "looking into" the latest hack of a million passwords. :p

I don't think its just PS3 itself Griever2112, it would've happen to any console, like Adam & Kevin said up there, it's the Internet! If anything is solely up for co-oping and linked to the net, most likely hackers will bust on through. But i disagree with Sessler mentioning "Microsoft has years of experience" because of their network security, XBL blah blah...it's STILL connected to the net, YES. So stop right there Sessler no console is better, any console would have likely to fail. However, because of Sony got them back by sue'ing, it correlated a punishment on their own behalf...and now this is what PSN users get. But any gamer should know, You don't use your credit cards! Use PSN cards! It's common sense...

I saw a post in their blog on the 19th that confirmed that 'something' happened and that they were 'looking into it'. Does that count as a statement to customers acknowledging the situation or not?

I don't see the breach changing actual games at all, but it might get some companies to second guess the security of their services. They might also look into the dependency of online services for some games and products.

The Security Breach has no affect on gamers other than no one can play online, nevermind the fact that their is a chance their lives could potentially be ruined for years to come since Sony took so damn long to alert people and helping in really no way what so ever to help prevent Identity theft, or credit card fraud... all they care about is playing #$&*)#^% Mortal Kombat and SOCOM. But once they play online again all is forgiven... I swear to God, not trying to be fanboyish, or anything but seriously how can you PS3 fanboys be this god damn ignorant...

Here is a question for you. I used to play Starwars Galaxies. Had 4 accounts on there. So what will the people that don't play the game anymore. So do we get something too? Also, according to the SOE website "U.S. residents are entitled under U.S. law to one free credit report annually from each of the three major credit bureaus." So they did not offer anything for the long term. So if I check it now so i have to wait until next year to check it again. So what happens till then? So again non-active users will not get what active users get but same personal info maybe have stolen.
