I just wish Nintendo would do what Sega did and just make games for REAL consoles! True Sega's brand name has really gone in the (blank) due to all the (blank) games they have been releasing (and re-releasing) since the death of the Dreamcast. But Maybe Nintendo wont be that bad when they are forced out of the console market and stop focusing on their (blank) hardware and recreating hardware no one wants, and start looking at the future. I would love to see what Link, Samus, and Mario would look like on the big dogs (ie. PSP, PS3, and Xbox)!
I think one of the main features of this new console will be connectivity -- internet, other "Cafe" consoles, and the 3DS.
Aside from the fact that there releasing a new console im still extremely worried about the new controller....I see potential and then i dont see anything but a large screen getting in the way. at this point iv lost hope for Nintendo...Yes Nintendo IS groundbreaking...1. first system to use wireless controllers2. first system to do motion for gaming. But whats happening is the other company (Microsoft and Sony) see what there doing and just make it better....Nintendo needs to step up there game...
ITs no wonder why Nintendo has been able to hide under their amazing sales for so long now.You may think Nintendo is the same as they were when nes and snes came out but truth is its not, now its full of people TRYING to bring back that vibe:Thats why the only great games they had were from nearly 15 year old franchise.Nintendo has disappointed me by only riding the Nostalgic wave.SIt down, make some decent hardware, and TRY to create some franchises that can grow to be as great the Mario, Zelda and Samus names...Its okay Nintendo, you dont have to live in the golden days for friggin ever!
LOL, err who cares what you think. You all but guaranteed that it would not come out. No chance...
The Sess is awesome and speaks the truth. I agree 100% with him on everything he's said here. I want to see Nintendo bring back the games. New ideas and old ideas. I know Nintendo has some creativity up in their noggin.
"I just like to see success. We're all the better for it."WELL SAID!!! A great thing to say to any hardcore fanboy/girl out there. Gamers should want all systems to move forward in awesomeness.
The Wii was over rated, when I got mine I could only find very few games that made it worth getting. This is why i traded it for a PS3.
Sorry this just sounds like the announcers in a sports game priding over the team that's currently in the lead. Nintendo dropped the ball, ok enough of the sports talk lol, with Wii and there is a lot of potential with their next console but to tell you the truth I don't have a lot of faith anymore. I grew up with Nintendo but I've also grown up while Mario is great I want great new IPs like Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Red Dead Redemption, Portal 2/The Orange Box and Bioshock. I'll be watching on the bleachers but it's going to take a lot to get me cheering. Ok now I'm done with the sports talk.
I wouldn't mind owning another Nintendo console. Last one I bought was a Gamecube. I hope this one is as good as the Nintendo 64 was back in the mid 90s. I hope Nintendo finds success with not just casual but hardcore gamers with this next console.
The only reason I dont have a WII is because of the motion control games.
People often criticize the GameCube and Wii for not delivering that good ol' Nintendo feel but if it's been that long since you've felt it, how do you know how it feels anymore?
plese call it project cafe'
I really don't give a flying heap about this hardcore vs casual market. To me it just creates more stupid us vs them scenerios that never amount to anything. Why do so many people waste so much time on PR driven junk is beyond my understanding. What I want is Nintendo to keep making great killer first party titles and gain great third party support without the FPS over kill that was a big problem with the other two consoles.Give me a new Metal Gear,a new Megaman,a new Castlevania and most of all new experiences in games.I don't want to see noob, frat boy driven monthly FPS that are generic Halo clones.Because at the end of the day third parties can talk Nintendo did'nt do this, they did'nt do that, but my question is what have they done that is'nt the same boring game over and over. The industry can't just grow or survive off of GTA rip offs,FPS's and sports games. They need much new experinces on games and my hope is to see this change happen on this much anticipated new Nintendo platform.
I sincerely hope Nintendo does well with this one. I felt really disappointed with the Wii. In my opinion, it felt like it still used the gamecube's hardware but with motion control added to it. I'm not saying that the Wii sucked, it is just that it seemed that although it could handle motion control, it couldn't do a lot of the things that other consoles had, like HD graphics, stable online play, and so on.So I really hope that Nintendo will make a console that can really hold its own against the 360 and PS3.I also agree with Adam in that the new Nintendo console should appeal to more core gamers, but still have some of the novelties that appeal to more casual gamers, making the system a more viable choice for everyone to enjoy, not just casual gamers.
I think going be great for few reasonsYou going to have all the 1st party games Mario,Zelda, etc plus your going have the power to do all the 3rd party games without having to dumb it down because of power of the system. Call of Duty, GTA,,Assassin Creed all been on Nintendo systems Wii or DS so it no reason it not going be on much powerful system. E3 in a month can't wait
The Wii's situation is Nintendo of America's own fault. There's games out there, and they're not localizing them.
I have to say there were some interesting controller concepts that were being shown behind Adam. I noticed one that was a normal controller but had the ability to split in half and when pulled apart there was a touchscreen in the middle. I think I could see Nintendo going in that route, or maybe when the controller splits in half the controller becomes two Wii-like nunchucks to keep that motion control aspect that Nintendo loves so much without creating extra hardware. I don't know, it's just a guess.
Sess is the only reason I even still pay attention to G4, well said.
