We've always said that if there was ever going to be a new generation, Nintendo would be the one to start it.

Welcome to the 9th Generation of Games everyone!!

I don't Nintendo is the same company as they where in the 90's.because they didn t release a console on newer spec's. They use to go by new innovation and game play but now of day's Nintendo all about spec's come on. Sega relied on newer specs in old days there out of the console business today. Every time Nintendo releases a console it takes two years for any good games to hit the market and if it's not first party games you well be out of luck for a while just like Nintendo past systems. SO Count me out on the stand in line all night at best buy I like to save your money folks for a bad day or pay off your debt. New video consoles $400, $600 ipad, new smart phone no wonder why we are poor and getting poorer. Just stop buying into the hype.

I am hoping Nintendo improves their online system you all pretty much know what I am talking about.

I enjoy all these nay sayers already blasting Nintendo before the system is even out. If you look at the timeline Nintendo is following their pattern of every 5-6 years they do their own thing.

I remember when everyone was saying the same thing about the Wii and now Nintendo gets to kick back and say "look at the scoreboard" ;)

For everyone that thinks this is Nintend's demise, this isn't their first time to the rodeo. They are a video game company. Nintendo has been making video game consoles for over 25 years. That is their niche. Sony can't say that and Microsoft can't say that.

_ , typed a 4000+ theory and it didn't even upload, ugh, well here it is (hopefully).

Ok I'm going to go with the supposed "leaked" pictures of Project Cafe and supposed "leaked" remote, look both of them up on Google to see what I'm talking about if you don't already know. OK, my theory of the Project Cafe is that the box's are going to be called "cafes" and they will act like a cafe. How? you might ask, here's how. My theory is that the "cafes" will be a port in which the remotes can connect to and play games with each other. An example would be if you were at home with the "cafe" up and running and you turn on your remotes and play Mario cart and a guy from a few houses or floors down turns his on and sees your "cafe" on his remote and that your playing Mario Cart and decides to hope in and play with you, but trust me I've only scratched the surface on what I think. Now you could be playing Mario cart and let's say your brother turns his remote on and plays super smash bros and he could be still use the "cafe" and play with others while you also play your Mario cart game. Along with that having a "cafe" doesn't make it completely yours.... Having a "cafe" would let anyone be able to connect to it and set up a game or see if there is a game out there to play with others. So you could be at work/school/college and other people could be playing multiple games through your "cafe" and vice versa, but it doesn't end there... I also believe that these "cafes" will have the ability to connect to the internet and this makes the people to play with a whole lot bigger. If your "cafe" or anyone else's for that matter you could play worldwide, nationwide, countrywide, etc.. I also believe that the remotes could play in ad-hoc mode, people withing the range of the remote signal. So you have the ability to play Project Cafe in three ways, Ad-Hoc, people near your "cafe", and worldwide with a internet enabled "cafe". I also believe that you could check up on your "cafe" if it is internet enabled and the "cafe" you are on is also enabled and you can see what your "cafe" is doing and hope and if you wanted to and play with what's going one. I also believe that your remotes will be you online ID, thus not needing a true online ID, and I can't remember where but a podcast host saw Project Cafe and said pretty confident that the new systems won't need a friend code or any online ID for that sort. So this makes me believe further the remotes will be your Online ID and if you were near a "cafe" your friend could see that on his and ask for you to come join him in a game. This is all just speculation by me and my creativity. Please cite me if think I'm right and post or use this idea in any way, :x. Just remember that E3 isn't too far off and all will be revealed then, :)!

This is just a wild guess that I feel fairly confident about. I'm going to go with the supposed "leaked" pictures that have came out of it, look them up on Google if you have not seem it. My guess is that the box is going to act like a "cafe", hence the name Project Cafe. The box will be hooked up in the internet and the remotes, look up leaked Project Cafe Controller if you have not already seen it, will have the screens on them and you could be playing Mario cart and anther person can turn on their remote and see your "cafe" and decide to hope on in and play with you. So the box will act like a port way for other people to join in and play with you, but it doesn't stop there, or so I think. Since the "cafes" will be hooked up to the internet you could play with your friend who could be countries or continents away by using the internet part of the "cafe". Along with playing with other people I also think that the remotes could do a short ad-hoc games which could lead the possibility of three ways to play on Project Cafe. First one would be people near your "cafe" who can hope on and play with you or vic versa; second one would be playing in ad-hoc mode, people around you in which your controller signal can reach; and the third one being playing international with the cafes online connection. I also would like to believe that they have it set up to where anyone could use your "cafe" and having a "cafe" doesn't really mean it belongs to just you. The "cafes" will be open for all the Project Cafe remotes to use and could seriously extend people's playing range. I would also like to believe that through another "cafe" you could see what your "cafe" is doing. This is just all speculation made by me with some creativity and the supposed "leaked" pictures. Please cite me or if you think that I am right in some way and use this idea, :x. Just remember all will be revealed at this years E3!

I have no doubt they would make a new console.
I do doubt that they're gonna make it super powerful.

I have no trouble believing that they would make a new console.
No way in a million years are they going to make an incredibly powerful console though.

Well since motion sensitive has gone to the camera, and Nintendo now has the 3DS, which brings a new sense of 3D, and you Can download most games, I see a hard ware power house w/ blu-ray, a Kinect type camera to pick up motion and voice recognition ( for casting spells and special techniques for certain games). But this is just to make the new Mario and Smash Bros. games look pretty, and more fun, the real magic is in the first person games.

3DS OLED rechargeable glasses (you can pick up extra pairs for extra players) will be the new step in gaming evolution. It will throw you into first person games like never before. They will be combined with special controllers for certain games like Zelda where you will wield the hilt of the Master Sword, which will have buttons for customizable attacks(mana charging attcks/element attacks/ barrier tech....), or Metroid where you'll buy the game and it comes with the arm cannon that has buttons for different beams and rockets. Personally if they do this, then they need to come out with a Zero game from Mega Man. A blaster on one arm and a sword in the other. Hell, there is your debut title, and it comes with Demos for the newest Zelda game and Metroid game.

Hopefully they will have more mature titles, because a 3DS OLED glasses version of Call of Duty with rumble vest for when you get shot would blow my mind. Most likely none of this will happen and I'll just have to wait till I'm 35 before it does(hurray Microsoft). I always loved Nintendo and have owned all their systems, but for the shooters I need to go to a High Def console. So Nintendo, just take the best of the gaming world, combine it and make a solid $700 system that would put the PS3 to shame and will make the$1,000 PS4 go "why the frick am I even out", because Nintendo, you have a chance to change the way consoles are priced with this next one.

I think like how Stephen Johnson suggested, that the new Nintendo console will try and win back some of the core gamer market. Especially since it'll be probably a few years before Microsoft or Sony announce any talks of a new console. I'm also predicting that the new console will sort of go away fromthe new motion control gaming, and refocus on the controller and the games the console will have. I don't think that they will completely abandon the idea of motion controls, but I think it would just be an option instead of the primary focus of the console. Either way I am very interested in seeing what Nintendo is going to show us at E3, because despite how people may feel about the Wii, no one can deny how Nintendo prefected the art of changing the way we look at gaming with every new console they release.

My guess is that this thing will be a regular console in the traditional sense but will also have motion controls standard. the way I remember the wii being marketed was that all games could be played with motion controls or with traditional controls and still give a similar experience and as we now know, that wasnt the case at all. I honestly would like a system that can play super smash without burning out the laser, I had to send my wii into nintendo to have it replaced because sometimes they would just break from playing that game for too long.
