I really like the way this game is looking. But I have one thing keeping me from pre-ordering it.
The thing I loved about RDR was that there was so many things to do besides just follow the main story line. Whether that's robbing banks, breaking horses, doing gang hideouts or what have you. That's my biggest worry with this game. What else is there to do besides follow the main story? I don't mean to sound like a negative nelly over here, this is a legitimate concern I have. From what I've read (not enitrely sure what the source was, and if I am wrong, please feel free to correct me), the game operates on a case to case basis. Which I would imagine means you don't ever really have any down time.
I suppose I am expecting a certain type of game that would follow the example of prior R* games. One that gives you tons of things to do at any time.

I'd just like to say how great it is that this game was mainly developed down here in Australia. This is our first AAA game, and could put Team Bondi on the world stage. Here's hoping!

thank god i pre-ordered this game and i am putting my faith in it being fantastic because from what i've seen.... this game keeps getting better. but rockstar, don't let all of the tricks out the bag so when i finally i can go, "god, how did they ever think up of this" everytime they introduce something new! excitement is in the air folks, less than a month

i love Rockstar but im scared this will be like Mafia 2 and suck. That's why i'll wait till GTA5 San Andreas

Looks like they put more effort into the acting than the actual gameplay.

I wasn't sold before, but that trailer. Wow! I love how Rockstar is putting out these games of Americana. This is what I like from Rockstar. Forget Grand Theft Auto, give me more of this. Bully was the start, then Red Dead Redemption last summer. Now be a cop, climb the ranks of the LAPD. Anyone who's seen Dragnet (the original TV show) has wanted to play a game, where they can be Jack Webb. "Just the facts."

Can't say I'm looking forward to "LA Noire". Nothing in it seems interesting to me. It's to be sure that the era it takes place in looks amazing, but you'll see that once the novelty wears off, you'll grow tired of the game fast. As is always the case R* games.

Already preordered and paid off in full.

I've pre-ordered already and I cannot wait. I just hope I have a decent TV by then.

I do like the way R* does these GamePlay Videos but I'm a little uneasy.
RDR was highly anticipated and then ended up having a delay on release which was apparently to "Create a better marketing" buzz for the game and they apparently didn't work on polish or glitch fixes during that delay.
I didn't enjoy RDR mainly because of issues regarding the gameplay itself. The Storyline to me was weak and lacked fundamental choice. I didn't like that John was constantly doing all these missions and tasks for everyone else for no apparent reason. I also couldn't stand the dialog, it felt forced and nothing is more annoying to me then hearing John 'fake' yell because he is riding a horse and having a 5 hour conversation with characters I don't care about. I also didn't like that the game seemed to make you ride a horse all the way to the east just to have to ride all the way back to the west again. A lot of the missions felt like they had this 'Filler' of riding around aimlessly in them.
I have not yet played Undead RDR though and I hear that's fantastic.
So anyway most of my problems with RDR should be fixed in L.A. Noire. Since there will be no horses and no reason to 'fake' yell over the sound of horses.
Hopefully it won't be like Mafia 2 where you drive giant circles around the city every mission. God Mafia 2 was such a bad game.
So I've got High Hopes for L.A. Noire but I'm hoping they do focus on glitch and quality control.
I also do like that R* has already been hard at work letting everyone know that ALL the Pre-Order Content will be available SOMETIME after the game's release. Hopefully it doesn't take a year though.

I keep telling myself that I'm only going to pick up about 3 games this year. Then something like L.A. Noire gets my attention
