G4 can be such back-stabbers some times; I mean they interviewed Zac Snyder, Jamie Chung, and Emily Browing. They said how much they looked forward to see it but just because critics abhorred this movie they quickly jumped ship. I personally liked the movie, not the greatest thing out there, but good if you just wanna be entertained

Rift is incredible!! I've been having a blast since the beta!! Trion has been doing an amazing job keeping it running smoothly and already a bunch of new content. Love it!!

And Ryzen7, it isn't the graphics that set Rift apart from WoW. Rift is WoW with incredibly fun rift events and invasions that make leveling much more interesting and engaging, and a vastly better class system. Being able to play a class that isnt simply the holy trinity of dps/healer/tank is a breath of fresh air. Being able to play as dps/healer in one (chloromancer), a full controller (dominator), full support (archon/bard) *and be successful* is so awesome I can't tell you.

It's not really so much WoW hate as it is that Rift is simply a better game. Played WoW for over 6 years, played the Rift beta for a week and left WoW behind without a second glance. It's just that simple.

To me RIFT is just WOW with better graphics, I played the game and couldn't get into it. Hopefully, SWTOR and Guild Wars 2 don't disappoint because those are the games I'm really looking forward to.
-- This is an opinion you don't have to agree... but it would be nice if you did.

So far I have been really impressed with Rift. The enviroments are amazing, especially if you can run the game on ultra settings. The PvP is fun, and not a day goes by that I dont find something that makes me go "Dam that is really cool". WoW accounts turned off.

Im a long time fan of MMO Report and an ex-hardcore wow raider. While i played Rift i wasnt impressed in any way and just cant see myself paying to start over fresh again while waiting for swtor. So i jumped into free-to-play mmos and happened to find a gem based on an old snes/genesis Koei game New Horizons:Uncharted Waters.
I have never heard of any mention on your show so i thought maybe it has slipped your radar as it has absolutely nothing to do with wow/rift styles. If nothing else I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different while we all wait for swtor.
    Also Suckerpunch sucked.

either that or there was no time after more meaningless adulation to SWTOR and douchebaggery from the mailbag. Still the most entertaining bit on G4

I did play the alpha. While I was not convinced I would be playing it, there was no other MMOs out there that enough that wanted to play any other MMO. We are not a fan of carebear games like WOW and Rift is barely tolerable for my PvP heart.

Overall, Rift has gone much better than any launch I have seen for an MMO so far. I was HACKED, and I had no virus or trojans or keyloggers that I could detect and they never once tried going for my cc# info or other information on my computer or my email accounts. I did get the coin lock mail and customer support admitted they are busy with this hacking issue and it took them over 12 hours to respond. Luckily, I took the day off (since I been busy playing Shogun 2 and Dragon Age 2 and work that I am still not level 50). My leveling plans ruined, my guild crafted me better armor and weapons that what I had before. Sadly, the loss of my planar items was not something Customer Support at Trion or the GMs at Rift could replace. So I lost allot of planar items. :( My character was not deleted, but just violated and pennyless and itemless.

With that being siad, Rift is still the best launch and MMO so far I have played in a while. I am disapointed it has a few bad issues, but the PvP is fun on Briarcliff server and there are queues to enter my server from time to time, still! WOW still? yes still! I am not convinced I will be playing it past Old republic though. However, at least my guild loves it and its still fun to play.
