    Very well said adam! Im glad you pointed out the relationship between narrative engagement linearity, sometimes its necessary to restrict choice in order to engage them in the world/story of the game, i had a similar feeling with metro 2033

    I love your comment at the end about choice. Some games like minecraft and garrysmod rely on you to create the fun and creativity. Some days i feel completely uninspired and when i play those games, I have little to no fun. Linearity lets games be less about choice and more about experiancing somthing the creators wanted to share.
