Shotgun Mania? Ninja zombies who eat princesses? Those are just two of the ideas Blair Herter heard when he hit the floor at PAX East 2011 to see if it just might be one of the fans who has that next great game idea.

ok a mind bending game of homage to classics and epic games with a good/grey/white area that is never the old a b c routine but is done all the time constantly fluxuating as actions you have done or not done activate billions of alternate game routes that simply don't activate by an interaction or a time but by a constantly in flux system that by simply not feeding a stray cat can mean you got yourself a creature that bothers you until it gets fed or dies and will hinder you on anything from a rescue mission to making food at a restaurant, you get your starter skills by filling out an online survey that gets sent to the game makers to create custom character stats and abilities after completing the basic introductory missions and also going online and communicating and friending or making enemies of people whose personas fall into the different areas affects your own standing(not by much but the more the bigger the effect) add in a storyline about a future devestated by a war between america and china where neither won and a landscape changed by global warming and bombings around the world and you have environments where the homage peices fall into place like putting in transportation with pods or "shroom pipes" that teleport you to wherever another functioning one exists run by brothers named louie and marty toss in some creatures that make their livings on part-motorcycles/part-tanks and are part man part creature and call them team foxhole with enemies named team wolf den add a splash of an electricity hungry robot named Jacked and kid owner Dexter a competitor based on skills of your own and make them the "Original" also add in all the different styles of games like 2d fighters and racing games puzzles one on one deathmatches capturing monsters to study and fighting the needed 3-5 stage boss and having your weapons upgrade depending on usage aka your punches get faster if you train with wrist weights your accuracy is easier to achieve as you pick of enemies in the distance your lingual abilities get you better connected but again its whatever you are that determines which areas are easier to acquire and which abilities you cant get past lvl one with

just a nice game idea that becomes as open world as you become and as influential as each person is in a real life kind of setting with a whole slew of powers based on who you are with a basic move set all poses normally

An AZTEC times tittle who resembles the movie: 'APOCALYPTO' now that! would be something else isn't it?....

Imagine an FPS-Runner like Mirrors Edge with a little of the Original N64 Turok jungle environment with Call of Juarez story telling, similar in game-play to Oblivion, but in AZTEC mythology with an "Aztec Hunter" as the main character earning his "right to passage" as a religious pilgrimage for his status in the Aztec community wile in the middle of the Jungle during a foreign invasion of the Conquistadors (white devils..lol) but with a mysterious Alien background that link their religion to the stars.

With weapons like bows, arrows, traps, stealth, many jungle animals to immense vistas of the Forrest rivers, Aztec community and Pyramids to explore into an slow progression/immersion into the jungles in Aztec TIMES!. Conquistador times!.

I know! it's been done before, but NOT! in a huge jungle and not! in first person view.

Wow that's probably not far off from something publishers have to see. Really those were lame idea, aside from Cliff's ah new idea there. ;P

I'd say the best game to play would be open world create your own game and I'm not talking about Minecraft haha. Something like a LBP sharing system with a level editor like Farcray 2 and throw in crazy mod support on consoles that fans create and upload for others to try out (something similar to Starcraft 2 I guess).

Sure, i actually thought of it a few days ago.

Its an mmorpg i call Transcendence.
What i wanted to do to differ from mmo's that have little reprocussions on death or sacrifice. Is to create not just one world, but several within one. Planes if you will. Now the characters that play inside these planes are all trying to achieve the same goal, which is to transcend. When the players complete all the challenges/quests in a plane, they can transcend further in their evolution to move to the next higher plane or world. The goal to reach the divine plane where all transcendants live.
Players who play mmo's invest their time into their character but always reach a point where they are maxed out or have nothing left to achieve. But when the player finally reaches his maximum potential as a mortal, he can opt to become a trancendant being far behond other players or their comprehension. I wanted it so that when players see these beings, they stare in awe at them but i wanted the trancendants to remain mysterious and powerfull to other players which is why when the player tries to become a trancendant. they must make a sacrifice.
When given the choice to transcend for the final time. The player is given the choice. If you transcend, the players mouth dissapears with the transformation as all transcendants no longer need them to speak. The can communicate telepathically between each other. This means that the player can no longer speak normally with other mortals/players they meet. But can still speak freely with any other Transcendant they might meet. This makes the players sacrifice one of the most important aspects of an mmo. freedom of communication. while some might think it frustrating, the sight of a mute powerfull being, whose thoughts and personality can't even be conseived by a mortal, makes the transcendant look like mystic, intimidating, creatures who surpass they players wildest dreams.
Now the Transcendant may communicate with a certain mortal if he so chooses, by offering him a telepathy stone. Or an item that alows them to speak freely. But the stone does not last for long, and are difficult for the transcendant to aquire. Another sacrifice they make is they must choose which of the planes they have journeyed through, to be their home where they can watch over the mortals. that player is most powerfull when fighting, or living in that plane. While planes of opposite elements might weaken them or drain their stats.
But the transcendants gain a unique ability as well, they may be summoned by players from any of the planes and from any of their altars. The players can call this way for a certain elemental transcendant that they need, which will then randomly send a summon request to a active transcendant somewhere in one of the planes, or they can request him by name. The transcendant starts to earn additional experience specific to their transcendant form for assisting the mortals. This will cause their connection to the divine to grow ever closer and unlock hidden strenghts. This draws a strong connection between the low level players, and the high level players. and since the players must reach a certain level to advance to the new plane, the players are encouraged more to work together or against each other to reach that awesome moment where they explore the new world in front of them, making them feel like their trying that mmo for the first time, every time.
well thats all i have so far but C'MON i came up with it yesterday. don be harsh.

my vision for the perfect game is as follows; the creative thinking for a story like Bioshock's, the Skill Shot system from Bulletstorm, high quality graphics seen in Prey and Killzone 3, a TMD-type device as seen in Singularity, Bulletstorm's BADASSERY, the scare tactics and creepiness of Dead Space 1, Borderland's idea for millions of guns, and the replay value of COD MW2. ALSO it would have to be a FPS, and have mutant enemies.

Shotgun mania is easily going to be one of the best games ever. If you think otherwise you're silly.

I have several ideas for videogames but I generally keep them to myself. One idea that I had years ago was an open world/sandbox zombie game but that was basically done in Dead Rising and it sounds like Dead Island is doing it too.

I'd like to see a hitman RPG. Where you would start with basic weapons and "targets", like following cheating spouses, angry co-workers, and the like. As you progress, you gain XP to spend in things like blending in with the crowd, quiet walking, and weapon skills. Also, with the money you earn in each mission, you get to spend on weapons, cars, safe houses, cleaning supplies (gotta clean up after)

As you gain levels, you get recruited by one of 3 or 4 Agencies. Here you would be given access to special weapons, clean up crews, cars, and the like. These agencies are then hired by rich people and government officials. This would allow bigger pay in both XP and money.

Imagine all of this in a huge sandbox setting. Make it a little hard, where you are given a time and location of where the target is going to be. The target is not tracked on a mini-map until you spot them. You would also have to follow them for an in-game day or two. Learn their routine and the like.

    Anywho, that's my idea. ;)

I always thought the game where "Joanna Dark" was in Tokyo and fighting in high rise complexes and city environments, was a new and exciting concept to the series " Perfect Dark ".

If the graphics were totally realistic and outstanding (1080p) and the heroine was truly amazing, I think a series like that could easily out do "Tomb Raider".

Unfortunately though, Microsoft holds this franchise, and as we have seen in the past, they have a 100% history of doing everything that is wrong or boring for any video game they have ever produced to date. Come on Bill hire some real talent for a change.

I'm also truly surprised that no one has thought of the obvious. A platform /shooter starring Charlie Sheen, in a 10 hour 1080p video game called "Apocalypse Now". I personally would make it exclusively for the PS3 and with Move compatibility.

I like the concept of that idea, but please; lets get a new leading man or woman to play the lead character role. Nothing personal Charlie, I just can't bond with any obvious nut bar !

Games which probably look like Skyrim, with no bugs 100%, realistic animation, epic long story, huge geographical map, interesting level stage every time, combat with adrenaline and challenge, memorable characters, memorable moments, games that make us addicted (duh!) and an amazing ending (multiple should be nicer). What else? Game that doesn't feel like it's for marketing purpose only. Eh...what's the point...hope people agree anyway.
