I haven't played it yet, but I agree that 3's controls were horrible.
You don't overhaul the controls to that degree in a sports game.
I'll get hands-on with 4 myself but if it's just an updated 3 then I
won't be picking this 1 up either.

For Michael Kelly to say gamers really liked Top Spin 3 was a complete lie. As a huge tennis game fan and especially the Top Spin series, 3 to me and many others was the worst by far in the series and the controls were awful. They acknowledged this to gamers and said that the press and hold would not be in 4 yet it is and not much better. Plus 4 is sluggish and unrealistic and the female pros can hit just as hard as the top male players of today and of all time. When the women on the game are hitting ground strokes as hard as Federer, Nadal, Agassi, Sampras, etc... its not right. Plus the player models look outdated and in some cases creepy. Was really looking forward to 4 until I played it and then canceled my preorder. Really hoping Grand Slam Tennis gets released on the 360 and PS3 or that the next Virtua Tennis is good because 2k Czech failed again.
