i stiil saying for ever ever bad com 2 is the best war ga,e.. but battlefield is the best real war game ever made... so if u love to be a sniper recon class on bad com 2 if u scoping long distance u goin to see the picture will be still solid no breath i mean u dont goin to move when u scopin ur enemies... but try to scope on battlefield 3 u goin to see that really suck cuase the picture going to be flashing a lot.. that really crap that game is good but sucks lol the guys in multiplayer are really ugly man the way the move are really ugly... nothing compare like bad com 2 that a game lol

Well, speaking on behalf of old school gamers, most of you guys sound like trained chimps, all distracted by the pretty colors. You youngsters still think that graphics are what make a game, and yet, you can't figure out why you're bored with a game after only 6 months.
I played the alpha version of BF3, and I can tell you with confidence that this game is NOT the successor of Battlefield 2, but more the successor of Bad Company 2. There is not a single similarity in this game to Battlefield 2, but plenty of similarities to Bad Company 2. And since console gamers never got to actually play Battlefield 2, you can keep your two cents out of this post. Those who fell in love with BF 1942 and then with BF2 are going to be sorely disappointed, unless you actually liked Bad Company 2.
Most guys that I played BF2 with that moved on to Bad Company 2 said they merely tolerated the lack of fun factor in BC2. Plus, after 4 years of BF2, they just needed something new. The graphics are obviously better in BC2, but again, graphics alone aren't enough to make a great game.
Again, I'm not expecting everyone on this forumn to understand what I'm talking about, especially the console gamers who never played Battlefield 2, but don't just take my word for it. Please feel free to spend your hard earned money and find out for yourselves. If you liked Bad Company 2, then you might like this game. If you like BF2 and were disappointed with BC2, then you are definitely gonna be disappointed with this new game.
Personally, if the beta version doesn't show me more resemblence of BF2 than the alpha version, I'm cancelling my pre-order. Save myself $60 and just play it at a LAN center.

You know, I was thinking of re-purchasing Bad Company 2, but after seeing Battlefield 3 footage compared to it, I just can't even look back at Bad Company 2 anymore. DICE looks like they've really stepped up their game with Battlefield 3. To say I can't wait for this game is a true understatement.

What's the point in a comparison if it's an hd video action packed campaign vs a low def video of some guy wandering around alone in multiplayer. Bc2 is a lot better than they show. Both games are awesome! Already pre ordered bf3 ftw

Wao!!!!! g4 thanks for the footage is obvious u wanna make a point here and overrate BF3 ....a new foll may bite the hook but not us old gamers ...its incredible how advertising works and how websites and groups can make the difference when it comes to sell.....first off i repeat the footage looks amazing thats a fact but what r we looking at this is a cinematic i believe not actual game play and it is with no doubt from PC version, the 360 video for bc2 still looks awsome even after some degradation done ....just to make ur point , everybody should know that the console version of the game will be far from this image quality so please stop playing with the innocent folks that visit your site seeking information ...and then u see comments up there " omg my mind is blown" and stuff like that lol unbelievable ...

hawt dam, when i watched this (i know the bc2 footage is degraded in quality) i began to notice more and more that bf3 looks like a freaking documentary, and not a game.. whoever tries to convince me that COD looks and plays better is going to be sucking my Jeremiah Johnson for the next 12 years, at the end of which BF4 will be released and it will literally be the real matrix but for combat simulation. all powered by Frostbite. Thank you scandanavia for giving us an alternative to Bobby Ko-dick and his greedy money-orgy that is activision.

I keep reading elsewhere that the console version is going to have only 24 players. This is unacceptable. I doubt we will even get to pilot jets in multiplayer. Why bother to even include them if the player count is going to be so small. You will have 3 or 4 guys camping at the jet spawn for the chance to pilot one and then only a few players to actually go after objectives. The maps would fell so empty. The console version seems more and more like Bad Company 3 than Battlefield 3.
DICE flat out refuses to make a BOLD statement to clear the matter up once and for all, just like they refuse to patch BC2 on a regular basis. I really don't know how to feel about Battlefield 3 anymore. I don't have the extra cash to buy a gaming PC especially just for this one game. I will just wait patiently and hope for the best.

Both games look sharp. While BC2 can be picked up on the cheap (at least on the PC side), the same won't be said for BF3 for quite some time. Further, as others have mentioned, I'm sure that the images in game on a solid rig are much better than what has been shown here.
I wonder what the specific differences are in the engines and how they will affect both the look and feel of the game?

I completely agree with Tygraph. BC2 footage looks WAY better than what was seen in the videos.
Also, I'm really hoping that the Frostbite 2 engine will bring something more than just prettier graphics. I want better looking fully destructible buildings when they collapse. I hope they also keep the bullet physics. That's one of the main reasons why I still play BC2.

I hope the console version of Battlefield 3 is good. I know it's originally a PC franchise and now while I hope they get the game they deserve, I am hoping the consoles at least get a good version as well. I only say this because so far all we have seen in PC footage and it looks incredible. Will the consoles look even remotely as good?
