I think the reason people are shooting the NGP down is there is no definite price yet, all people are doing is speculating over it.
Personally I won't even go near it if its more than 250 dollars, and even then it's just a big fat maybe for me. Because the ps3 is going to get a price drop this year to, and how good is it going to look to people that the big console is less expensive than the handheld. And that doesn't include nintendo because the Wii is outdated and shouldn't be compared to anything.

So we went from one extreme to the other. Abbie would talk over EVERYONE and never be quiet, so they replace her with Leah who never has anything worth while to add.
Love Sess, Matt, and Kevin. Throw in Casey, JP, Steve J, Morgan... or ANYONE else please. Do not make Leah a regular... PLEASE!!!
Preparing for mass down raking because I said something bad about a girl on the G4 forums, and for some reasons girls are all anyone comes here for. Some of you need to invest some time into pornography. Girls are way hotter, and they do stuff. What kind of stuff you ask? You'll have to check it out.

I do not understand why you are so ready to shoot down the ngp g4. The device looks really cool and i will gladly line up to get one as well as the 3ds, can't you just wait until you go hands on with the device before you judge it like any other device. just my two cents.

I do not understand your arguments against the ngp. The whole point about not knowing the name is stupid, hell the ps2 was called the next generation playstation and it destroyed the competition. Then when talking about the games you say that you would rather play them at home than on the go, but none of you said this when the 3ds was being praised for having metal gear and resident evil. Your argument of the controls is understandable, but touch controls have been around for a while now and if you can emulate L2 R2 and L3 and R3 you can play every game created for the playstation platform. Finally do you really expect them to announce everything all at one event? It is a long time before release and there are many conferences to show off new features and games.

heavenly sword: second coming only on NGP, yea I'd like that. I can wish can't I? Heavenly sword is such an under appreciated game in my opinion

I disagree with Adam's explanation of how multiplayer cannot ruin a single player game. His reasoning is that you can't clearly define any game that was ruined by inclusion of multiplayer. But if the game was ruined, then you probably wouldn't know or care enough about it because it wasn't good enough to compare with other games.
The fact of the matter is many developers are in fact pressured to have a multiplayer mode, even in games that weren't really designed to have them, with no extension to the deadline which they were given to finish a game. So they have to take time away from working on single player, to work on multiplayer. How does this not effect the single player mode? Whether is "ruins" it or not, the single player mode would have benefited if the time spend developing the multiplier was put into improving the single player.

They are very contradicting when it comes to hand-helds, for example one person says that the PSP has no *point of distinction* when being more like a console is a point of distinction. Then another person is describing using all the controls at once, when this was clearly demonstrated on how each input was being used in a game. This does not make any sense, because the XBOX 360 has eight buttons, one d-pad, and two analog sticks, it does not mean you use them all at once, you use them to the context of the situation in the game.
The biggest contradiction is that they say they want something with a *point of distinction* yet do not want to learn something new, the two cannot exist at once, To be truly *distinctive* you would have to do be doing something no one is doing yet, by doing something new, never seen before (original).

I think one thing that will make the NGP a must buy for me is if PSN games can be played on it. Those games are perfect because some of them play like a full disc game but are short enough to where I would play them on the go.

I agree. The NGP has too much stuff, too many ways to control games, and two analog sticks will ruin portable gaming. This is horrible...
Also, if you wear skin tight jeans, things wont fit in your pocket. How about a laptop bag, briefcase, purse, book bag, or trash bag...anything that is designed to carry other things? I do wonder how many gamers will pass on the NGP because it won't fit in a pair of male ass huggers...

Leah Jackson needs a fulltime role on Feedback. Good job Leah. Best show in a while despite all the Sony gloom in the room..

They are very contradicting when it comes to handhelds, for example one person says that the PSP has no *point of distinction* when being more like a console is a point of distinction. Then another person is describing using all the controls at once, when I have used the DS with the stylist pen in my hand while using the buttons. This does not make any sense, because the XBOX 360 has eight buttons, one d-pad, and two analog sticks does not mean you use them all at once, you use them to the context of the situation in the game.

Once again, it looks like I am inclined to make a comment. The big question here is that, "Is the PSP2 worth it?". How can a product be worth it when It has not yet been given a price point and the current design of the product might be subject to change. At this point in time, people should only be talking about what they think the "sweet price point" of the psp2 is at. What games they would like to see on the handheld and if the battery life would be sufficient to support/last long knowing the "horsepower of the device. At least, Wait for Sony's E3 press conference where I am almost 100% sure that Sony will give the public more information regarding their new handheld.

PSP2 / NGP / Whatever the name. Playstation sadly does not have a next gen Monster hunter series in english, their cash cow (imo) for the portable device is this series. Within the first month of release Monster Hunter Portable 3rd had sold 4 million copies, seems like reason enough to me to play a portable over the ps3 console... It would be a completely different story if there was a Monster Hunter 4 Next Gen series, talk about juices flowing. Again, personal opinion.
