Great Feedback. I wonder if the NGP will suffer the same fate as the PSP in the American Market. Im not saying that the PSP is bad its just no where close to what Sony had invisioned for the American Market.

They forever do this....Say they will only buy the 3DS to play Zelda and Mario....but Sony has to make better games and not just smaller versions of the big games. Just a bit contradictory! dontcha think?

i completely disagree with your opinions on multiplayer versus single player, i feel that games should focus much more on their single player experience, perhaps that's why we get games where there are "choices" and yet really we just have two choices, be really nice or be incredibly mean, mass effect anyone?

kevin kelly brought up a great point about development teams and by adam saying that one can't be awful because of the other is completely false, if you have 40 people working for you, and you need to send 20 of them to do something else, that's half your capacity to capture the vision you're going after,

and for the medal of honor argument with dice and the other team, if they could've just hired one team to make a game, couldn't they have spent much more money on that particular segment of the game? or couldn't they have even had both teams work on the same part of the game?

but here's something that i really want to think about, how about an mmo console first person shooter game? i think it would definitely help put an end to the argument over single player games versus multiplayer games, the sad part is though that this kind of genre of games would be really horrible for the first few years and then start to get better, so this is what i hope the call of duty franchise does, just create a game where it's mmo console, it's not like it would be that different, it would just give a point to all of the pointless 10 minutes of murder on the multiplayer, but technically borderlands did this with mixed to positive reviews, i hope multiplayer gaming goes in that direction

I will definintely get it when it comes out. I love the fact that it is somewhat like a portable PS3...and i love the new controls on it...and trophy support! I think it will be awesome.

According to a reader citing a retailer source, GameStop is now taking pre-orders for Sony's snazzy new Next Generation Portable; you just have to put $50 down. The price in their system? $299.

They should congratulate Abbie on her new career or something... she was one of the best parts of the show.

Early feedback is awesome though, and it was overall pretty darn good.

    rift raft... hilarious.

Oh yea you non-military folks should make a trip over to Iraq to experience it for real, please do that before you talk trash about the military in any shape or form. Better yet visit a VA hospital.

Any acronym is better than one that could be confused with Neo Geo Pocket. Come on Sony!

Maybe if (the thing) is priced right. works very well for the money and I can still use my old psp games on it. If not then no I am not going to buy one.

A PSP2 exclusive title would be a nice thing to entice buyers, but if you look at the 3DS the big game everyone wants came out many years ago. If the 12 years of nostalgia make the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time such a huge "would be seller", imagine what a HD version of Final Fantasy 7 could do, especially if it was a launch title.

I'm worried about the dual analog sticks on the psp2. With analog sticks come, though usually later, my character moving without me wanting them to. I like the swivel pad for pocket handhelds. The 3DS will fold over it's stick/pad, so no pocket danger.

I love it how the bash more of the name NGP then the actually console so pose bashing the name is better then bashing the console like they seem to do with the 3ds

Okay I said this yesterday for the Soapbox, it would have been better to give the PSP2/NGP a definitive name yeah but who's to say it would keep that name? I mean Natal sound cool then Kinect happened, Nintendo Revolution was a cool name then Wii happened. At least they aren't giving you a cool name and taking it back for a name that's less than cool... or whatever. Idk I guess it is G4's job to be overly critical and don't get me wrong good points were brought up, how is Sony going to market the device against the 3DS? We don't know this was just an announcement. Another thing, the whole argument/excuse about Zelda vs Uncharted, really? Okay yeah Nostalgia is good but Leah said you can play Ocarina on anything now so, was that an argument or a quick excuse. Personally I would also like Sony to invest in a game, a new game specifically for the NGP/PSP2, something like Sly or Jak and Daxter a really cool cartoony like game for all ages, make that the poster boy for it. Everything else would exist to keep the consumer happy.
